Four Frames stamp set sneak peek
Flash Forward and Back

Flashback Friday Sour Cream Containers

I am sorry I am posting so late.  The project I am going to show today is addicting.  I finally had to stop my self  stamping and get to posting.  I was reminded of this project when I went to the Vancouver BC SU Regional meeting.  A Canadian demonstrator shared it and I cannot remember what she called these little boxes but we call them sour cream containers.  She had them decorated beautifully and I knew I had to revisit the idea.

Here are a few of the  samples I made.
Plane and Simple sourcream
Wouldn't this be a fun favor?  The set is called Plane and Simple and is in the Occasions mini catalog.  Do you recognize the Four Frames set?   I stamped the bird frame on Bashful Blue cs but covered the bird up with the plane.  Do those clouds look familiar?   They are the frosting on the Build a Cupcake punch.

Now let us make a sour cream container together.  First off these can be made in any size.  It is easier to make these out of Designer Series paper so start with that first and once you get that mastered go on to cardstock.

This piece measures 4 1/2" x 6".  This is one of the patterns in the level 1 hostess gift In Color DSP paper pack.  Along one end lay down some sticky strip.  I recommend sticky strip for this project.

Inside here lay down some more sticky strip.  We are going to close one end.

Now this is important, fill the container before you do the next step.

Do you see the shape of the container?  The ends are secured  the opposite way on each end.  I make a little crease so I will know where to put the sticky strip.

Now your container is done!  You can crimp the ends.  I think the crimping is VERY important if you are not using a strong adhesive.

All done!  I cut 2  each of the small and  medium sized Daisies on the Daisies # 2 die.

Hope you enjoyed this weeks flashback.  I will definitely be making more of these.   Check back tomorrow and i will have more sour cream containers to share with you and a sneak peek too!
