Warmth and Wonder Bluebird

During the month of October hostesses can earn $25 more in hostess dollars when their party's merchandise (before shipping and tax) total equals $250.   The Stampin' Up hostess plan already provides $40 in hostess dollars when the merchandise total equals $250, so this month you will get a total of $65 in hostess dollars .  You can use your hostess dollars to purchase catalog merchandise or you can choose exclusive hostess only stamp sets or a combination.   One of my favorite hostess sets is Warmth and Wonder in the Holiday Catalog.  It has 7 images and you can get this set for just $10 in hostess dollars.

Magnificent Maple Thanksgiving

Today was the first time in quite a while that I was able to spend time in my stamp room.  I will admit the going was a bit slow since I felt VERY rusty and it took a while to get anything made that I was happy with.

Magnificent Maple

The colors are a little different but I like it, thank you Stampin' Up! Color Coach!
Stamps: Magnificent Maple 131868, Tags for You 131823 , Dictionary130351
Ink: Crumb Cake, Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry, Cajun Craze
Paper: Bermuda Bay, Very Vanilla
Punches: Label Bracket
Extras: Heat and Stick powder, Dazzling Diamonds glitter, Burlap ribbon

Magnificent Maple close

I hope you can see the glittery leaves.    I made the leaves by stamping them with the firm foam Classic Stampin' pads and then quickly pouring on Heat and Stick powder.  I heated it using my heat gun and then sprinkled on the Dazzling Diamonds glitter.  I heated it again just to set the glue and the glitter.   You have to work pretty quickly since Classic ink dries pretty quickly.

Magnificent Maple side

Thankful Frame

Recently I moved my stamp room and it was a lot of work.  One good thing that came out of the move was I uncovered or maybe i should say re-discoverd some hidden treasures.  No, I am not talking about gold or silver but crafting treasure.

Thankful frame

I found a little stash of magnetic frames and I knew this would make a great bonus project for my last card class.  Here's what we used to decorate the frames.

Paper: Sweater Weather DSP, Always Artichoke, Chocolate Chip
Punches: Boho Blossom, Merry Minis punch pack(126882 this item is a carryover from the last Holiday catalog), 1/2" circle punch
Big Shot: Expressions Thinlits dies, Autumn Accents Bigz die
Extras: Linen thread , Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets

Thankful frame side
I applied  the Multipurpose Adhesive sheets (page 174 120805) to the DSP before I cut out the "thankful"  also be sure to layer a piece of waxed paper between the die and theDSP.  This little trick makes it SO much easier to remove the paper from the thinlit die.  Since I used the Multipurpose Adhesive sheet it was very easy to attach the words to the frame.  I really need to remember to use the Adhesive sheets more often.

I have so much to be thankful for and this little frame will help to remind me.  Have a great one and thanks for stopping by!
