More Amore Book for Stella

A month ago I shared with you a baby card I made using the Two by Two stamp and the More Amore Designer Series Paper.  I also made a little mini scrapbook to go along with some other gifts for the new baby.  

If you are a subscriber to my newsletter this scrapbook will look familiar.  The pattern is the same as  the last project I shared during the 12 Weeks of Christmas series.

Do you want to hear something cute?  The father of the baby wrote a thank you note and told us that he thought he was supposed to fill the scrapbook with pictures of the baby and send it back to us.  His wife convinced him that the book was for them to keep but I kinda like his idea better.  Maybe next time i will send two books and see if I get one back filled with baby pictures.

CPC Elegant Bird Scrapbook Tin

I cannot believe I did not post this project earlier.  All I can say is that it has been a heck of a past few days.  So without further delay here is an elegant project designed by Laurie for Craft Project Central.

Mixed Bunch and Blossom Builders

This month I am trying a 12 in 12 list.  I made a list of 12 things I am going to do this month and one of them is to make a scrapbook page or 2.  Modest goal and one I can accomplish.  I kind of cheated since this page was one of the make and takes from Leadership.  I finished this one at home so I am counting it for my 12 in 12 February list.

This is one of my favorite pictures of the Boy and my Auntie Gladys.  She  was a beautiful  and kind person.  Today is her birthday and I am feeling a little sad.  She passed away in December and I am so thankful that I got to see her the day before.   She used to always say, "that's wonderful!" and it is something we picked up and whenever we say it to each other it makes us smile and  remember Auntie G.  So today in honor of her tell someone "that's wonderful!"  and mean it and it will make you both smile.  

Alaska Mini Scrapbook

We were given the names of our tablemates for dinner on the Stampin'Up! cruise to Alaska.  I wanted to make them something they could use to help remember their trip.  Here's is what I came up with.

The lettering is the  Timeless Type Medium Sizzlit die for the Big Shot.  The letters are cut from the Red Glimmer Paper that was first featured in the Occasions Mini Catalog and is still available for purchase.

The left hand side is a pocket and the stamped image is from the Travel Log stamp set.  I used a combination of the Newsprint DSP and the Love Letter DSP.

 

I hope they will like it and be able to use it to remember our cruise to Alaska!  If you would like to make one of these mini scrapbooks let me know I would love to organize a class to teach this project.  We could meet at your house or at mine just let me know you are interested and I will work out the rest of the details!

Fall Scrapbook page

Catchy title huh?  I know I have a way with words.   Hopefully you will like the page better than my title!  Recently  I was asked to do a party that focused on scrapbooking instead of cards.  I have known the hostess for a long time and she was at one of my more memorable parties  that I did when i  first moved to Spokane.  Someday i will share that story with you.  Let's just say I left quite an "impression" on someone.  Anyway, I agreed and we did a page for our make and take and I was happy with how it all turned out. 

I broke the page into 3 stations.   I thought it would make the make and take flow better.  Here is what they made at one station.

Paper:  Marina Mist, Cajun Craze, Old Olive, So Saffron, More Mustard,Sweet and Sour DSP
Inks:  Cajun Craze
Punches:  Owl punch, 1 3/4" c ircle punch
Big Shot:  Timeless Type alphabet and Clear circle die
Extras:  White gel pen for the eyes, Basic Rhinestones

It was a fun evening and I hope everyone liked their page and will add some great pictures to it.

Rock-a-Bye Girl Simply Scrappin Kit

I needed to make a mini scrapbook to celebrate a new baby girl.  I decided I would use the Rock-a-Bye Girl Simply Scrappin kit.  The Simply Scrappin kits come with a  lot of paper and die cuts.  I made 2 of these books and still have die cuts and paper left over. I may have enough to make another book.

 

I used the On Board Lots of Letters chipboard for her name.  I inked the chipboard up with Regal Rose Craft ink and then applied Heat and Stick powder and then I glitterfied the letters.  I used the Big Shot to cut out the large scallop circle.  The only other extra I used that did not come in the kit was some Regal Rose grosgrain ribbon.

   

I decided  to not add too many embellishments so that the new mom will have more flexibility when she adds her pictures.
