Friends 24-7...again!

A few years ago I was in a card swap with 4 other SU demonstrators.  This swap was a little different than the usual swap (swap=make a card for everyone in the group and they make one for you and you trade).  We each would choose a stamp set from the mini catalog and had to make 4 samples using that set and make those 4 samples for each person in the swap group.  Yes, it was a LOT of work.  I quickly learned that I needed to make sure I picked the stamp set I wanted to use very carefully.  I really liked this swap, it challenged me to  think about how to get different looks out of the set. The group slowly drifted apart but I still try and make a  few samples using different techniques, colors, etc with each set I purchase.  Long explanation as to why I am showing you another card using the Friends 24-7 set!

Supplies:

Stamps: Friends 24-7

Ink:  Basic Black Craft ink

Cards, Cards, Cards class

Last week I had a Cards, Cards, Cards class.  We made 8 cards ( 2 each of 4 designs).  Here is one of the cards we made.

024 copy

Stamps: Friends 24-7, Polka Dot Punches(SAB set-free with $50 purchase), Fresh Cuts (for you stamp)

Ink:  Close to Cocoa Craft ink

Paper: Baja Breeze, Chocolate Chip, So Saffron, and Very Vanilla

Extras:  Full Heart punch (works perfectly with the Polka Dot Punches set), Scallop edge punch, Button latte button, and Rhinestone popped out from one of the Rhinestone brads)

I used the Craft ink in Cocoa so that there would be even coverage of the image on the Baja Breeze cardstock.  Sometimes it is difficult to get good ink coverage on colored cardstock when you use a dye ink.  I love how it  looks like the design is printed.

I will be having another Cards, Cards, Cards class in April.  Check my newsletter for all the details, what you are not on my newsletter list?  Subscribing is easy just click on the box in the upper left hand side of the blog.  You can also check all my events on  my SU website
