Friends 24-7

Love this stamp set.  I keep returning to it whenever I get a chance to sit and stamp.  I used the punch trick I featured in this post.  This time I started with a 3 1/2" square and punched each side.

A Wheely Friendly card

Okay that is a bad title but I can explain.  Today I pulled out my jumbo wheel Friendly Words.  When I first saw this wheel I know I had to have it and put it on my first order from the catalog.  Somehow it never got inked up, until today.  I am sure that has never happened to you.   The wheel has all kinds of quotes about friendship and really fit my mood today.

the Last-Chance contest

*This post will remain at the top until the contest is over*

The list formerly known as the Retirement list but now renamed the Last Chance stamp sets list will be released on June 1st.  It is always hard to see our favorite stamp sets retire so to ease the pain I am having a Last-Chance contest.  Email me your top 12 guesses of what you think will be on the Last Chance list and the person with the most correct guesses will win a stamp set of their choice from the current SU catalog.  Yes, that's right you can choose any set from the current catalog! You need to email me your list no later than May 30th.  You may only enter once.   In case there is a tie the stamp set will go to the person who emailed me first.  Sounds like fun so get guessing and email me.

More Branch Out

When I first saw this set I was not going to order it but I kept on seeing beautiful things being made with it so I decided I had to add it to my collection.  Here is another attempt to make a manly card.  Please notice the background on the Kiwi Kiss.  We will be using this technique in one of the hostess clubs projects this month.

On Mother's Day

Hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day!  I had a great day.  Jim made me breakfast, I went to see Spamalot, spoke with my mom,  had dinner with my Spokane family, did a little stamping, and ended with a phone call from my son aka the boy.  Pretty wonderful day and on top of all that it was a totally beautiful spring day!

In March my mother in law celebrated her 90th birthday.  For her Mother's Day gift I made her a card file album.   She really liked it!  It made me very happy to hear that cause I really enjoyed making it.  Here are a few photos of the album.

I enjoyed making this so much that I am having a class so you can make one too!  The class is on June 4th at 6:30 pm.  Each participant will received 1/2 of the SImply Scrappin kit Best Ever, the card file, and 8 pages to start filling your album.  We will complete at least 8 pages.  The project comes together quickly.  Call or email me to resgister for the class.  Last day to register is May 23.  Fee:  $25

If you are interested in this class but cannot attend on 6/4 let me know as I am working on scheduling another session.  Thanks!

Cheep Talk and a new Color Combination

I love the stamp set Cheep Talk it is so easy to use and versatile.  I used it with a color combination that I do not remember using before:  Certainly Celery and Perfect Plum.  Perfect Plum was one of those colors that was so "in" when I started with Stampin'UP! I have not used it in a while.  I think the colors looks so fresh together.
