Sneak Peek: In Color Ribbon!

                                006 copy

Let me introduce you to the new In Colors: Rich Razzleberry, Soft Suede, Dusty Durango,Crushed Curry, Melon Mambo, and Bermuda Bay!   Aren't they just scrumptious?  The ribbon is 1/2" Polka Dot Grosgrain and one side is plain and the other polka dotted, nice!  I love ribbon and was able to pre-order all of them (perks of being a demonstrator).

Would you like a sampling of all the ribbons too?  I am offering a ribbon share.  Here is how it will work.  You will receive approx. 3 yards of each of the new In Color 1/2" polka dot grosgrain for $15.00.  I will order the ribbon the first day I can (July 1) and cut and package them for you as soon as it arrives.  If you want in on the share you need to contact me and pay for your share no later than 6/29.

Last Chance Card

I was cleaning up my stamp table and found some strips of the retired  Sweet Always designer paper.  This was one of my favorite papers and it must have been everyone else's since it sold out quickly.

I needed a card to send to a friend and found the perfect sentiment in the Level 1 Hostess set Sweet Little Sentiments.   I wanted a simple image and have always liked this flower from Heartfelt Thanks.   When I was done I realized that everything I used was on one Last Chance list or another.  This was quick and easy to make and I hope it brightens her day and yours too.

Manly Treat Bag revisted

I received some questions about the Man's shirt treat bag featured in this post.  Some of you wondered why I made it so small since the smallest cello bag SU sells is 3" x 5".  This is a great question and here's why.  When I thought about making this treat bag I thought that I would used the Sizzix Scallop bag die (I think the real reason was I wanted to buy the die).  By using the die I only had to do the scoring for the collar.

Here is the treat bag re-done to use the SU 3 x 5 cello bag.

Here are the 2 shirts.  I guess you could also say one is a medium shirt and the other extra large.  The basic construction is the same.  Here are the new measurements:  3 1/4" x 9 3/4".  score at 4" and 5".  The side that is longer is where you will score and cut for the collar.  Place the 3 1/4" side at the top and measure down 3/4" on both sides and  from the 3/4" measure and cut 1" in.

Fold the tabs in to form the collar.  Add the buttons, pocket and top stitich as you please!  I just realized that you could also add a little pocket on the inside and insert a gift card.   Brilliant huh?  I hope I am the one who gets to go when he uses this gift card!   My hostess clubs are making this project this month.  I hope they like it!  I forgot to tell you that this paper is from the Sweet Slumber Specialty pack.  It is a ittle heavier and textured, it looks like seersucker.  This pack as well as the original paper I used, Parisian Breeze is on the Last Chance Accesories list.  Hurry and order it before they are gone!

Pocket cards

I needed to make some graduation cards.  I didn"t know the school colors for one of the cards I needed to make so I went through my paper choices and found some retired Designer paper called Prestwick.  Why didn't I order more of this paper?  It works so well for manly cards, let that be a lesson to you, don't delay and order your designer paper before it is gone!  I wanted to make a pocket card and can you believe I had to take apart another sample to refresh my memory on how to make one?!
