Cheeseball title once again but there is a reason for it!  I used our window sheets on one of the cards at a recent Christmas card class.  It was a fun look with snowflakes stamped on the sheet.  Yes, you can use white Stazon to stamp on the window sheets.

Stamps:  Heard from the Heart and Autumn Days
Paper:  Kraft, Whisper White, Real Red, & Christmas Cocoa Specialty paper
Ink:  Chocolate Chip and White Stazon 
Punches: Scallop edge, Scallop circle and 1 3/8" circle
Extras:  Soft Suede grosgrain ribbon (this was tied so that the dots were all hidden), Dazzling Diamonds glitter

It was fun working with the window sheets and I really like the look of the card.

I never thought I would like soft suede snowflakes but I do!  I have been using a lot of Soft Suede lately and though it is not a traditional Christmas color I think it works.

I really like this set.  The images are just sweet and simple.  Most of all I think I love that bird.  Here is a really quick card that my class did last night.  They sure were a fun group of ladies!

I wanted to share with you one of the cards my hostess clubs are doing this month.  I really like how this turned out.

Sad but true I fell off the blog wagon.  In keeping with my usual style I did not just fall off I did a major dive!  I am not sure what happened but I will climb back up and get back to posting regularly. 

During my time off from posting I was working in my stamp room.  One of the things I was working on was my projects for my hostess clubs.  I cannot show you the completed projects just yet since all the clubs have not met but I do want to show you another Omission Embossing idea (sorry the obsession continues!).

 Pretty cool huh? Are you wondering, how did she do that? 

First, I had to make my high tech template.  I cut 4 pieces of lightweight chipboard that I get free every time I order Designer paper.  I decided I wanted to emboss only about 1 1/2 inches so that is how wide I cut my  chipboard.  I bound it together with tape.  I put my paper in the embossing folder and closed the folder.  Put the high tech chipboard template on top of the folder in the spot you want to emboss.

Sorry about the glarey picture.  Now run it through the Big Shot.  The sandwich that worked for me was Tab 2, folder with the paper inside and chipboard on top and one of the cutting pads on top.  You may have to play with the sandwich layers to make it work on your machine.  When it is done you will have a cool strip of embossing just in the area you had placed your chipboard. 

This is so fun and there are so many more ideas whirling around in my head using this technique.  I know you will come up with some cool ideas so make sure you share them with me!

Sounds so technical huh?  Actuallly this is a very easy technique and will open up a whole new world of possibilities.

The hardest part is making this frame.

 
This is 4 pieces of the "chipboard" that comes with  SU's  Designer Paper.  If you can find thin wooden frames at the craft store that would work too.  I made mine by cutting 4 oval frames and then layering them on top of each other and gluing or taping them together.  It aint pretty but it works!

Next you insert your paper in the folder and then place the frame on top of the folder.  Not in the folder but on top or on the bottom.  I place the folder on top so if you stamped an image on the paper you could see what you are framing.

Now you are ready to roll!  Here is the sandwich that works in my BIg Shot.  Tab 2, embossing folder, frame, plastic cutting plate and roll!

 
This is what you will find when you open your embossing folder!  I can hear your creative wheels a whirling!  Go and make some cool thing and share it with me!  I have a few more of these samples to share so watch my blog for more samples!
