I hope you had a wonderful Christmas!  This week I have spent some time cleaning up and getting ready for the new year.  I found extra pieces for a box we made at one of my past new catalog events and decided to make them up using some of the fabulous goodies that will be available on January 5th.

I am also very excited to tell you that a date ( March 6th!) has been set for the big Stamping event.  We have found a place and it is a great location and there is lots of free parking.  It has been awhile since I have had a stamp camp so save the date cause you won't want to miss it! Sorry, I am posting this  a little later than I had planned.  We left early this morning to attend WSU's graduation and see a friend of ours receive her Ph.D!  WOW is all I can say!   We of course had to stop and have a celebratory lunch but I am back now and ready to tell you who won the sets.  The first name the winner picker picked ...Lisa K!  She won the Snow Buddies set and Karice S won the Holiday Best set.   Send me an email and I will make arrangements to get those sets to you!

Today is also my son affectionately known as "the Boy" 21st birthday!  I know you are wondering how can I have a child who is already 21!?!  I cannot quite figure that one out myself.  Anyway,  I was going to have a cake delivered or ask one of his friend's to get one for him but then decided on something home/handmade.  First of all let me tell you that I am blessed to have friends who are very talented.  If it were left up to me they would not look anything like this.

 
Can you guess which ones I made?  I was stressed trying to make the ace and the 10!  Gail made the hard ones the King, Queen and Jack.  She did a terrific job, don't you think?  AnneMarie made Patrick and did a fabulous job capturing the essence of Patrick the platypus.   These cookies are about 3" x 5" and frosted with candy melts.  Like I said I am a lucky girl to have such talented friends.  The cookies made it safely to the boy and he was very impressed.  Happy Birthday, Love Ya!!!

For those of you that have been wondering, the large scallop I used on the Year Round jar class is on the Pennant die and yup, it is on special!   Stay tuned I will be posting samples using lots of Big Shot dies! 

Last night was the last hostess club meeting for the year for the #1 Hostess club aka the Ichiban hostess club (they chose their name not me).  It was a fun and festive time!  Thank you all!

I started to think about the fun things I will have to share with my hostess clubs next year!  My pre-order of goodies from the Occasions mini catalog should be arriving any day now so I will be dreaming up some fun projects.  Sale-A-Bration also begins in Jaunary and it is going to be a fabulous one!  Then it hit me but that also means that the Holiday mini catalog will be coming to an end!  So make sure you have everything from the current mini catalog before it is history.

 I have a little tree I keep in my stamp room that I decorate for different holidays.  I was trying to get some creativity flowing and while I waited for inspiration to hit I decided to work on the tree.

   
I cut  the birds out of chipboard using the Big Shot and the Holiday Windows die.  I left some of the birds white and the others I colored with Chocolate Chip or Bermuda Bay ink.  ALl of the birds are covered with Chumky glitter.  They are really sparkly but I was not able to capture the shine on film.  The other ornaments were punched out of the Bride specialty paper using the Ornament punch.  I used 4 punchouts for each ornament scored them in half and attached them to each other.  Here's another view of the ornaments.
