Quilting with the Big Shot
January 11, 2010
I am back from SU! Leadership and the Phoenix Regional meeting. I can say these were the best SU! events I've ever attended. There were many special things about the events and I will share some of them in futures posts but one thing that really was super cool was this.
No, SU! is not selling fabric! It is a quilt block made from fabric cut out using the Big Shot! Brilliant! Shelli Gardner (co-founder of SU!) wanted each of the demonstrators who attended the Leadership meeting to have a quilt block. She talked to the SU! Manufacturing Manager and the employees (in Kanab) brought in their own sewing machines and made 1000 of these so we could each have one. How special is that? I matted mine with the coordinating SU! card stock and put it in a 12 x 12 frame. It is hanging in my stamp room so you need to check it out. Thank you Shelli and all the people in Kanab who made these! I LOVE it and will TREASURE it.
If the idea of cutting out multiple layers of fabric at one time intrigues you contact me and I will show you how the Big Shot can be a big help in your sewing room!
oh sure entice me even more now
