Sweet Scoops Sneak Peek

Sweet Scoops is another fun set in the Summer mini catalog. When you looked at the mini did you wonder what the image was that looks like shredded wheat was for?  It is used to make the texture on the ice cream.  What I did below was to ink up the ice cream and then kiss it to the texture stamp and then stamp the image.  Cool idea huh?  Look really closely at the Real Red cs and you will see the great new texture made with the new embossing folder, SU Square Lattice.

Ready for another Elements of style sneak peek?

Yes, I really like  this set.  I am planning a class in June using this set, details will be coming soon.  On this sample I did a little coloring with my Aqua Painter and watercolor crayons.  The coloring goes very quickly and the shading lines are already there for you so it is easy to get the shading done.

Sending Love Specialty paper

In the Occasions mini catalog one of the cool things that was introduced was the glittery DSP called Sending Love.  It is just beautiful with the color combination of Pretty in Pink, Chocolate Chip, Real Red and Very Vanilla.  Love it!  However, after Valentine's day I must admit I put  it aside.  I was tidying up and came across the paper and realized it isn't just for Valentines.

Here is a quick card I came up with for the many April birthdays.

005 copy
Stamps: Birthday Bliss
Paper:  Very Vanilla cs and Sending Love specialty paper
Ink: Basic Brown, Pretty in Pink, Almost Amethyst, Mellow Moss
Extras:  Perfect Polka Dot embossing folder, Scallop circle punch, 1 3/8" circle punch

Now I gotta run and actually send out the cards!  If your birthday is in April I did not forget just late!  Remember, the Occasions mini catalog will be done at the end of April so make sure you contact me or order through my SU website and before it is too late!!

Colors!

I am sure by now you have heard the news...the SU! color families are undergoing a renovation.   The new Color Collections (formerly known as families) will make their official debut in the new catalog (July 2010) but check below for the colors that will be leaving and the new colors that will be coming.  Now is the time to buy those reinkers, markers, pads in the colors that are leaving!

I know many of you will be happy to see the return of some of the past In Colors like Pink Pirouette, Wild Wasabi, Riding Hood Red, River Rock, Baja Breeze, Pacific Point and Tangerine Tango!  There are also 5 new core colors:  Early Espresso, Daffodil Delight, Cajun Craze, Cherry Cobbler, and Marina MIst.  When you see these colors you will see how they fill the gaps left by some of the retiring colors.  There are 3 current In Colors that will also become core colors:  Melon Mambo, Rich Razzleberry and Soft Suede.  If all that is not exciting enough there will be 5 new In Colors and they sound really yuimmy!

Call, email me or shop online with me and stock up on all your favorite colors!

Another Elements of Style sneak peek

Here is another look at the Elements of Style stamp set that will be available in the Summer mini catalog.

002 copy

I think this set is perfect for black and white cards, which I love to make.   It is hard to see but I cut out a butterfly with the Beautiful Butterflies Bigz die for the Big Shot from a piece of plastic.  I stamped the butterfly with Black Stazon ink using the large floral stamp from the set.  The flourish is also from the Elements of Style set.  This is  a beautiful set and a great one to add to your stamping supplies.  Remember it will be available May 1st so call or email me to schedule your stamping party or class!

Elements of Style Sneak Peek

Here is a sample from a set that will be in the Summer Mini Catalog that will be debuting May 1,  2010.
002
Stamps: Elements of Style
Paper:  Basic Black and Whisper White
Ink:  Basic Black
Big Shot dies:  Lots of Tags and the Matchbox die
Extras:  Black Satin ribbon

I love this stamp set!  It is one that is so pretty you really do not need to do very much to it.  I stamped the large floral image to make my own designer paper and then cut it into 4 panels and layered it on  Basic Black cardstock and then on to a white card base.  The sentiment is also from the same set.  All in all a pretty simple card.  I know you will be seeing a lot of samples made from this set.  Call me to schedule a May workshop or a private class with you and your friends and we will make a card using this beautiful set.

No Fooling it is a new post!

Happy April Fool's day!  I am not fooling I actually have a new post and sample!   I want to share with you a new set that will be available in April.  This set Awash with Flowers is actually a set that will make its "official" debut in the new catalog release but in April you can receive it FREE when you a host a $350 workshop.  You can also purchase it and it comes in both wood mount and Clear mount.

Here's a couple of quick samples I made.
001 copy

Here it is in Crushed Curry.
003 copy

You know with the new Clear mount option it is so much easier to do 2 step stamping.  If you notice the bold image does not match the line image exactly which makes this set a breeze to work with and also gives it a great look.  I  stamped the bold image twice moving the stamp slightly to give it a shadowy effect.  I am just getting started working with this set and will be sharing more of my samples-no fooling!

If you would like to receive this set FREE call me and schedule your April workshop.
