Stamping on the Go!

Recently I was packing for a trip and wanted to take along some stamping supplies and before I knew it I had almost an entire suitcase worth of stamping goodness.  I knew I needed to pare it down but what to eliminate?  After some thought I decided i would focus my stamping around a pack of Designer Series papers (dsp) and I chose Deck the Halls dsp, which is featured in the Holiday mini catalog.  This one decision really helped me to decide what I needed to take on my trip.  I packed stamps, paper, ink and embellishments focused around what i thought coordinated with the Deck the Halls paper.

Over the next few posts you will see what i made from the supplies i packed and can decide whether or not I did a good job packing or not.  It is a challenge stamping on the go when you are used to having all your stamping goodness right there with you but it is also kind of a fun challenge.  I enjoyed coming up with different ways to use what I had on hand.  This idea could also be a way to focus what you pack when you go to a crop or retreat.

Stamps:  Peaceful Season (level 2 hostess set featured in the Holiday mini catalog) and Music Notes roller wheel
Ink:  Cherry Cobbler and white ink cartridge
Paper:  Very Vanilla, Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake, and Deck the Hall dsp
Extras:  Bigz die Scallop Squares duo, Very Vanilla satin ribbon, Basic pearls

What do you think?  I know it is a pretty basic card.  The only special thing I did was a little fussy cutting. I cut out the holly images which are part of the Deck the Halls dsp.  I did pop some of the images up with Dimensionals to add some depth.

I think this would also make a fun class kit.  Would you like for me to offer some thing like this?   Let me know what you think and check back for more of Stamping on the Go!
