BBQ Recipe Case and Invitation

Seriously I cannot believe it is the end of May!  This month has been a whirlwind.  We got back from the SU! Alaska cruise on Friday and what a fun and fabulous trip!  We have been so busy that I have not even downloaded my pictures yet-I know that is crazy!  Our son flew back from Chicago and spent a few days with us and we picked him up after getting off the big boat.   It was so wonderful to have him  with us again.  Hope that helps to explain my lack of postings the last few days.

Here's the last project for the month of May from Craft Project Central.

BBQRecipeCase&Invitation

Don't you love it?  This great project was designed by Anne Marie.  I am definitely going to make this one.   The recipe holder is really clever and her directions are great!  I am thinking of making  this for my son  with a few of his favorite recipes since he will be moving in to his first "real" apartment soon.  I can think of a lot of different occasions that this would be perfect for. Go  to Craft Project Central and sign up for the month of May.

Alaska Mini Scrapbook

We were given the names of our tablemates for dinner on the Stampin'Up! cruise to Alaska.  I wanted to make them something they could use to help remember their trip.  Here's is what I came up with.

Alaska mini book

The lettering is the  Timeless Type Medium Sizzlit die for the Big Shot.  The letters are cut from the Red Glimmer Paper that was first featured in the Occasions Mini Catalog and is still available for purchase.

Alaska mini book2

The left hand side is a pocket and the stamped image is from the Travel Log stamp set.  I used a combination of the Newsprint DSP and the Love Letter DSP.

  Alaska mini book3

I hope they will like it and be able to use it to remember our cruise to Alaska!  If you would like to make one of these mini scrapbooks let me know I would love to organize a class to teach this project.  We could meet at your house or at mine just let me know you are interested and I will work out the rest of the details!

Post-It-Note Holder and Cards

Ready for another pretty and practical gift idea?

PostitNoteHolder&Cards
We all use Post-It-Notes and this holder is perfect to tuck into your purse.  I love that you can use the same supplies and  have a coordinating set of cards too!  This great set was designed by Jill for Craft Project Central.    Want all the details on how to make this fun project?  Well, just go here and sign up for the month of May and you will receive access to all the great projects.  It really is a steal of a deal at just $10 for the month.

Paper Daisies and the Brights Patterns DSP pack

Here's another bright and cheery card for you.  I love the crispness of white and turquoise with  a little Daffodil Delight thrown in for good measure.

  010 copy

Are you wondering which die I used to cut out the flowers?  Trick question because I did not use a die.  The daisies are frome the Paper Daisies pack (page 188) and  are a great buy.  You  get 4 different sizes of daisies in one pack and 10 of each size!  I added a Boho Blossom punched flower from Daffodil Delight Patterns DSP pack and then the Turquoise Glimmer Brad.  I did a little stamping using the flower from the Bold Blossom stamp set in White Craft ink and then ran it through using the Perfect Polka Dots TIEF.  Craft ink takes a little longer to dry so either set it aside and let it dry or you can also dry it with your heat gun.  Don't be impatient like me otherwise your TIEF will have white craft ink flowers on it like mine does.  I like to think of it as my way of embellishing my TIEF folders!

It has been so beautiful here the past few days.  Anyone visiting would not believe that just a few days ago it was pouring rain.  I hope this means that spring is really here, I have been fooled before.  All the sunshine and blue skies has definitely influenced my stamping, right now I am all about bright colors.
