Sweet and Sour DSP

Just popping in to share with you a quick card that uses the Sweet and Sour DSP which is on the Retired list and a new punch that will be available in July.

  Sweet &Sour DSP

Yes, the color combination of Pumpkin Pie and Rose Red is a stunner!  Definitely not for the timid.  If you want some paper that makes a bold statement then I think you have met your match!  Order it soon because when it is gone it is gone! Isn't the new punch amazing?  Love it and don't ya wish you were a demonstrator?  If you were you could have pre-ordered this punch.  If you have ever thought about becoming a Stampin'Up! demonstrator then give me a shout and I would love to talk with you about the opportunity.

I will end with this...

Best of Everything Sneak Peek!

Every night after dinner on the Stampin'Up! Alaska cruise I would go back to my cabin and magically there would be a gift waiting for me on the bed from SU!  They sure know how to spoil us.  This set Best of Everyting was one of our pillow gifts.   It is so cute and happy and it matches the luggage tags and document holders that SU sent to us before the cruise.  Sigh, I just love how everything ties together.

Best of Everything 1

This is a super quick and easy card.  I will definitely be sharing more samples using this set.   Here I used Marina Mist, Old Olive and a little bit of red glimmer paper and red taffeta ribbon.   I am going to send this to someone I know who is going through a rough time.  I hope it brings a smile to her face.  Have a great Monday and I hope to be back tomorrow with something to share.

More Sock Monkey

The Sock Monkey set has all these great little stamps that you can place in his hand or on his head.  I wanted to use the little cupcake image.  I think that little cupcake is so darn cute!  Here's a card that does not even feature the Sock Monkey.

Lots of cupcakes!  A quick refresher on masking.  I stamped the only complete cupcake first.  I then stamped the image on a Post It note cut it out and used it to mask the cupcake. I then stamped on either side of it which gave me  cupcakes behind the main cupcake.  I continued to mask the cupcakes and stamped more cupcakes.  Pretty easy but nifty.

Isn't he cute?  Ready to fill up the wagon with treats! I have had a lot of fun stamping with the Sock Monkey.  I have to return him to his owner.  I hope she likes the samples I made for her.

Have a fantastic weekend.  We are supposed to have actual spring like weather so I am thrilled.  I am also expecting my pre-order from the new catalog!  I think I will have to take my new goodies out on to the back porch and stamp outside.  Doesn't that just sound wonderful?  Check back and see if I actually get to stamp in the sunshine.

Sock Monkey

When the Sock Monkey set first came out I was pretty neutral about it.  I know a lot of you love Sock Monkeys but it never did much for me.  Sock Monkeys have grown on me but I just don't have the emotional attachment to them.  I think it is because I grew up in Hawaii and we just did not have wool socks or even very heavy socks around.   I never owned a Sock Monkey so I don't have fond memories from my childhood about them.

One of my hostesses owns the set and wanted some ideas on how to use it.  I offered to make some samples for her.

There are so many cute images with the Sock Monkey set and when you add on the 2 accesories sets you really have a lot of fun stamps to work with.

It's that time of the year again!

June is a bittersweet time for those of us who love Stampin'Up! products.   It is the time when we must say goodbye to stamp sets, accesories, Designer Series Paper that are retiring.   The only thing that keeps me from becoming super sad is the promise of the new Idea Book and Catalog that will be debuting on July 1st!   On the right hand side of this blog is a button that will take you to the retirement lists.  Please be aware that the retiring items are limited in quantity and once they sell out they are gone!  So, do not delay and get your order in today.

I will miss this little set, A Flower for All Seasons.  I have used this set on a lot of calendars and cards.  Sometimes you just need a sweet, simple image.   For the rest of the month I am going to be sharing some of my favorite sets that are retiring and maybe a few sneak peeks as well.   Just remember not to wait to order, I would hate for you to miss out!
