Mailable Monday Button Buddies

You know I love me some bumpy, lumpy cards.  When I mail these less than svelte cards they always require more postage.  I don't mind paying the extra surcharge to mail these cards, I think of it as my little way of helping the post office.  That being said it is fun to also make cards that are flatter, more streamlined.  Sometimes the simplest cards can be the most difficult to make.  Do you know what I mean?  The whole clean and simple but beautiful can be tough to acheive.  All I can say is thank goodness for the Textured Impressions Embossing Folders (TIEF)!  Sometimes just that little bit of texture really helps.

Here's today's go at a more mailable card.

Simply Sent, Simply Made, Simply Wonderful

I think the Simply Sent kits are great!  They make perfect gifts and i like to have  them handy for the quick card.   It took me longer to unwrap the package of the Simply Sent kit than it did for me to make this card.   Here's what you get when you order the Everyday Elegance kit.

You get 4 of the Baja Breeze card base, 4 of the Cherry Cobbler, 8 of the Baja Breeze label, 8 of the Cherry Cobbler label, and 8 envelopes.  I love that the card base has both a pretty decorative edge and if you look closely a row of embossed dots.    Here's the quick card I made.
