Elementary Elegance Stamp Set's 8th Stamp
February 25, 2012
Are you wondering what the heck I am talking about? Well, I think Stampin' Up! made a mistake when they made the label for the Elementary Elegance Sale-A-Bration stamp set. The label should have read set of 8 not 7.
Do you see the 8th stamp? It is the shadow stamp, otherwise known as the rubber from inside of the frame.
Do you remember when shadow stamps were all the rage? When I was putting together the Elementary Elegance stamp set the inside piece from the frame reminded me of an old Stampin' Up set called Little Shapes. I think it is going to be fun to revisit some of those shadow stamp techniques.
Here's what I used to make today's card.
Stamps: Elementary Elegance, Fresh Vintage
Ink: Blushing Bride, Soft Suede
Paper: Soft Suede, Whisper White, Blushing Bride
Big Shot: Perfect Polka Dot TIEF
Punches: 1/2" circle, Scallop Edge
Embellies: Soft Suede Tafetta ribbon, Basic Pearls
If you already threw away the 8th stamp from the Elementary Elegance set don't worry you can always get another set after all it is free during Sale-A-Bration with a $50 order.
Ah, great minds think alike, lol, I too saved the center from that frame....also, I found that stamping the hello from corner to corner makes a perfect fit.
(I actually got the idea to save the center from you long ago, so things do stick in the mind at times, lol)
