Happy Easter Chick
March 13, 2012
Good morning! Have you gone to Craft Project Central for your free tutorial? If you have not, please read this post and get all the details.
I am a little hesitant to show you this card because I think it is missing something but I cannot figure out what it is yet. Maybe I need to use my favorite TIEF and add some polka dot texture. Just not sure what it needs.
What do you think? I will make another one and post it and you let me know if it is an improvement or not. Here's what I used to make this card.
Stamps: Delightful Dozen, Best of Everything
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Old Olive, Basic Black marker
Paper: Whisper White, Daffodil Delight and Tangerine Tango DSP from the Brights Patterns DSP stack, Peach Parfait DSP from the In Color Patterns DSP stack, Daffodil Delight CS, Peach Parfait CS, Early Espresso CS, chipboard from the DSP packaging
Punches: 1 3/4" Circle, Bird Builder, Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack, Boho Blossom
Big Shot: Frames, Oval Scallop, Big Shot Multipurpose Adhesive sheets
Ribbon: Daffodil Delight Seam Binding ribbon ( sneak peek item, it will be available for purchase in April and also in the next catalog)
Extras: Basic Rhinestones
Have a crafty day and let me know if you have any questions.
It doesn't "really" need anything else, BUT, embossed polka dots on the whisper white behind the chick would really be adorable.
This goes to show we have too many toys, lol. A couple of years ago, we would never have given the thought to this card needing anything more.
VERY very cute card Sharon.....love it!

OOPS, when I talked about the polka dots behind the chick, I did not mean the whisper white in the oval, but instead on the actual background piece behind the scallop oval.

Hi Louise,
I just read your comments and it is so funny cause i just finished making another card putting the dots behind the chick (oval piece). I was thinking of making another one and embossing the card base itself. I will do another and post both of them.
hugs,
