Cheers! It's Happy Hour!

Happy Hour stamp set that is!  Is it too early for a blue Martini?  Surely it is Happy Hour somewhere in the world!  It has been a bit of a struggle stamping around here and I am not sure why.  I am just hoping it ends soon!  Maybe a cocktail or 2 might help.

Happy Hour Blue MartiniIf I told you how long it took me to make this very simple card I think you would definitely suggest I drank a blue martini instead of stamping one!

I filled in the drink with Crystal Effects and decided to glitz it up with some Dazzling Diamonds glitter.  I also wanted a little red pimento for the olive so my red Sharpie to the rescue!

Stamps: Happy Hour
Ink: Marina Mist, Real Red and Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Crumb Cake
Paper: Whisper White, Daffodil Delight, Real Red, Polka Dot Parade DSP
Big Shot: Perfect Pennants, Holiday Ornaments Framelit, Perfect Polka Dot folder

Trying Something New

This is going to be a quick post!  It is thundering and lightening like crazy this morning!   I decided to try my hand at using ink refills and water color paper to see if I could make some cool and simple backgrounds.  Today's sample was my first attempt and well it kinda looks like a  card that would be going to a "Dead" concert.  Know what I mean or am I dating myself too much?

Papillion Potpourri tye die

This was not the background I was going for but its kind of interesting.  I used Daffodil Delight, Tangeringe Tango, and Tempting Turquoise.  Kinda wild huh?

It is sounding worse outside so I am going to sign off now.  Have a groovy day and let me know if you need to order some  fun new stamps or tools!

Live in the Sunshine and Gumball Green

Today is the day when the annual flight of the SU! demonstrator begins to Convention.  This year I will not be among those winging their way to the Salt Palace.   I will try not to whine too much since it was a choice I made.  I make these decisions and then later wonder what was I thinking?   Instead I will try and console myself with stamping (what a concept!?!) and organizing.
