Googly Ghouls Haunted House

I was working on making some swap cards with the Googly Ghouls stamp set and you know how much I like using a grid pattern.  Today the little grid reminded me of a window so I took a break from making my swap cards to make a little haunted house.

I used the new Woodgrain embossing folder on Early Espresso Core'dinations card stock and distressed it even further with the Stampin' Standing block.   This little house is definitely in need of a paint job!    When you approached this house I am sure you felt a lot of eyeballs on you.  It is SO convenient that the googly eyes are adhesive backed. I am ready to order more Googlies! I cut a crooked little chimney following the chevron pattern from the embossing folder and also used it to add texture to the roof.

Back to making swaps!  Have a Bootiful day and let me know if you need any supplies to make your own Haunted House!

From Butterflies to Bats

Yesterday I shared with you my little BOO frame and today I want to show you how I made the bats.  You will need the Elegant Butterfly punch, the circle punch from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack, paper snips and some card stock.  I am making Baja Breeze bats so you can see the drawn lines a little easier.

Punch out an Elegant Butterfly.

Bats before and after

Here is roughly where I punched  using the circle punch from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack

Bats 1st step

THe first punch is the hardest...

Bats 1st punch
Continue on until you have completed punching along one edge of the wing.  Repeat on the other side.

Bats 2nd

Here's how I cut the ears.

Bats 2nd
Th first cut for the ears is straight down about 1/8" and then a slight angle cut to complete the ears.

Bat finished

Now you can go batty making bats!  If you need any of the supplies to make your own battalion of bats contact me and I would be happy to help!

Googly Ghouls Boo!

I know, I know it is only August and you don't even want to think about Halloween yet.  Please just bear with me and file away these ideas because before you know it, it will be October!  One of the sets that i really liked from the Holiday catalog is the Googly Ghouls set.  It is a super set at a really good price and who doesn't love some googly eyes!  Be sure to check out the adhesive backed Googlies!  Genius!  Really the bundles that Stampin'Up has put together are really quite the deal.Be sure to pay close attention to them.

Here's the first thing I made with the Googly Ghouls set.  I found this frame in my stamping stash and knew exactly what I wanted to make to fill it. This frame is going to be fun addition to my mantle.

I love this new ribbon.  Are you wondering where it is in the Holiday catalog?  A friend of mine had to point it out to me!  Check out page 26 of the Holiday catalog.  It is an easy one to tie and I love me some stripes almost as much as I love polka dots!

3 Cheers for You!

I should be showing you some cuteness from the Holiday (not so mini) Catalog since it is now available to order from but instead I am going to share another Happy Hour card!  Just imagine I am cheering the Holiday Catalog!

Happy Hour 3 Cheers

See the cute little scallop circle at the top of the card?  Well it is from the Holiday catalog so at least I have something new to show.  Seriously though that Holiday catalog is so jam packed with goodness that I swear I see new things everytime I look in it.  It is a dangerous one for sure!

Here' a liitle better view of the 1-1/4" Scallop Circle punch (see pg 7 HC-Holiday Catalog).  Now as cute as this little scallop circle is, it does have a real purpose in being  on this card.

Yup, it is a little slider!  I was thinking that this would make a fun congratulations card to send my downline.   I just noticed how crooked the martini glass is!  Looks like too much cheering was going on when that one was stamped!   If you have ever thought about being a Stampin' Up demonstrator this might be the month to join in the fun.   This month there is a bootiful gift that you will receive when you sign up to become a demonstrator.
