Leaves and Gratitude

Happy World Card Making Day!

You would think as a card maker that I would be all over World Card Making Day!  Well, this year I am a FAIL!  The date has been  rolling around in my brain but before I did anything the day was here.  Don't you hate it when that happens?  I will be celebrating the day with some time in the craft room but am planning to celebrate for real next Saturday.

I want to send a big thank you to Jean.  You see Jean asked me to set up an email subscription to this  blog.  I seriously thought I had that already but after a closer look realized I did not. So, thanks to Jean I now do.  Look at the left hand side of the blog right below the Mailing List sign up.  You should see a little orange icon and next to it "Subscribe in a reader".  If you would like to read my blog posts in a reader click on that and it will take you right through the process to get you set up.  Right below that you should see "Enter your email" and  "subscribe".  If you would like to be notified by email when I update my blog fill in your email address and follow that process and you will be notified.   Thanks again Jean!

Remember earlier in the week I told you I was in a fancy fold card swap.  I received the cards and wow it was full of good ideas and some fun facny folds indeed!  I made this card based on the card folds  made by Jolene Harms and Mary Haugen.

I love these 2 images!  They are both from the Mixed Medley Hostess set in the Holiday catalog.  All the images coordinate with the new 1-1/4" Scallop Circle punch and the 3/4" Circle punch.
Halloween tri-fold halfopen

This view is with the card partially open.  I have had so much fun using the Howlstooth & Scaringbone DSP.

Halloween tri-fold open

This view is the card all the way open.  Do you see the teeny spider hanging out in the web?  Way too cute.

This may very well be the longest post I have ever written!  Have a wonderful day!  Make something cute for World Card Making Day and be sure to tell me about it!
