How much is that cookie in the window?

Remember when "bakery" window cards were all the rage?  I made my share of them and they were so cute!  Well I am revisiting the idea today with the  Scentsational Season stamp set and the coordinating framelits die.

Gingerbread store 1
Sorry about the glare from the "glass".  I wanted to add the window sheet glass to make it really look like a storefront window but failed to take into account the glare!

Gingerbread store 2

Scentsational Season, Happy Hour (holly and words), Snow Swirled (hard to see but I stamped the snowflake on the card base)
Ink: Early Espresso, Garden Green, Illuminate Glimmer Watermark pad
Paper: Whisper White, Real Red, Crumb Cake, Red Glimmer paper, Window sheet
Punches: Owl Builder (heart hair bows), Cupcake Builder (holly berries), Word Window punch (awning), Scallop Edge Border punch
Big Shot: Holiday Collection Framelits, Large Scallop Edgelit,  Delicate Designs Folder
Embellishments:  Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details

I also used the new Stampin' Trimmer to cut out the window and it was so easy to do!  Love that new trimmer.   The awning is "retractable" which in this situation means it lays flat to mail so this is also  a postage stamp friendly card.

Gingerbread card inside

Here's an inside view.  I covered up the window cut out so the inside would look cleaner.  This would also be the perfect place to put a Talking Tag!  What is a Talking Tag?  Here is a video clip that will explain all about Talking Tags.

Pretty cool huh?  This is definitely going on my next order.  I also read that the "purse" is flying off the shelves at Stampin Up so if you want one you need to act fast.   Call me or go to my Online Store.  Have a fabulous day and stamp something cute and be sure to tell me about it!

Need a Little Texture?

You wanna see something so cute and yet so functional?  I am excited to show you the Sizzix Texture Boutique Embossing Machine, now that is a mouthful so between you and me we will call it "the Purse".

ADORABLE right?!  This little cutie is available from Stampin' Up for a limited time only.   Stampin' Up is offering a test run of these machines through its partnership with Sizzix.  What does the"purse" do?  The "purse" uses the Textured Impressions Embossing Folders aka the folders and embosses card stock,  paper, metallic foil, and vellum with texture and designs .    If you read my blog you know I use the folders a LOT!   Here's a quick video that demonstrates how this machine works.

I love that it has a small footprint and won't take up much space on my crafting table and it is going to be great to have available for classes.  Interested?  This would make a great gift for your friends and a perfect stocking stuffer for yourself!

Stampin' Up!  is offering the"purse" two ways:

Texture Boutique Bundle
Item 132700
$39.95 (a $45.85 value)

Texture Boutique Embossing Machine
Item 132657

  • Texture Boutique Embossing Machine, 1 pair of Standard Embossing Pads, 1 Mylar Shim

If you are interested in ordering do not delay because this is a test run and quantities are limited!  You can order through my online store or contact me.  Here is where you will find the  Sizzix Texture Boutique Embossing Machine aka the "purse" and all the different folders.

Thank you and I will be back later with a sample or two!

Mailable Monday and the Merry Minis Punch Pack

Isn't it amazing?  I am actually posting a Mailable Monday card on a Monday!  What do I mean by Mailable?  It is a card that only requires one regular stamp,  in other words no extra charges for being lumpy and bumpy.

Merry Minis glitter card

What do you think?  I once again used the Illuminate Glimmer Watermark pad and the Bold Snowflake for the background.  I love this pad and am  so happy how beautiful it looks stamped on Whisper White!

Stamps: Bold Snowflake (new single stamp), Greetings of the Season
Ink: Black Stazon, Illuminate Shimmer Watermark pad
Paper: Basic Black, Whisper White, Silver, and Champagne Glimmer paper
Punches: Postage Stamp, 1" Square
Ribbon: 1/2" Striped Satin ribbon (it is not just for Halloween!)

Merry Minis glitter cardside

I am posting the lumpier version on my Facebook page.  I cannot decide which one  I like better. I am leaning towards this one.  This will definitely be one of our Christmas cards this year.  Simple, quick and I can do a lot of the assembly while catching up on some of my shows.

Frosty Friends in Marina Mist

Ready for more Frosty Friends?  Hope so!

Frosty friends marina mist
In addition to the Frosty Friends stamp I used  one of the NEW single stamps that were recently released.   Love this new Bold Snowflake  stamp and one very cool thing is that it coordinates with the Blossom punch.   I will be sure to show that to you in another post.    I stamped the Bold Snowflake in the Illuminate Glimmer Watermark pad.  Love that ink and I have been using it a lot since i got it a few weeks ago.  This ink pad is on page 23 of the Holiday Catalog.  Yes, it is easy to miss but trust me it is beautiful.

I also matted the layers in Silver Glimmer paper, Oh yeah, it is a glittery sight!  I know you are cringing thinking about all that glittery paper that is being wasted.  Not to worry I actually cut out the middle part of the glitter paper and used that  to mat the Frosty Friends.  It is pretty easy to do with the new Stampin'  Trimmer!   If you click on the link there is also a video showing the features of the new trimmer.  We have been anxiously awaiting the arrival of the Trimmer and  I am so happy it is finally available!

I took a lot of pictures and I still was not able to capture the Illuminte Watermark ink.  It is subtle like the VersaMark ink but with a silvery shine.   If you are wondering the sentiment is from the Sweet Essentials stamp set.  I think it just fits the Frosty Friends perfectly.

I used some fun new things on this card and hopefully you liked it.  I think it is simple but also has glittery goodness to dress it up.   If you have any questions about this card or the products I used please feel free to contact me.

Frosty Friends Greetings
