Something Old, Something New, Something Current

The weeks between the announcement of the Retiring  Stamps and Accesories list and the start of a new catalog is always a tough time for me.  On one hand I am so excited to see and play with new stamps sets and accesories and on the other it is sad to see so many favorite things retire.  My stamp room is in a state of confusion getting ready for the transition from one catalog and the Occasions catalog to the new catalog.  Today's cards has something new, something retiring and something current on them.    I thought it was a good compromise for this time of transition.

Regal Rose Thanks

What's new: sentiment from Simply Sketched new hostess set
What's old(retiring): Brights Brads, Bright Patterns DSP Stack,  Regal Rose  ink
What's current: Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack, Old Olive ink, Everything Eleanor stamp set-flourish, Polka Dot Parade DSP, Papillon Potpourri stamp set, Bitty Butterfly punch, Old Olive ink, Basic Black marker

You can read all about what supplies I used here.

The very last day you can order retiring items is on June 3.  The last day to order from the Occasions catalog is May 31 and that is also the first day you can order from the new Stampin' Up! 2013-14 catalog.   If you want your own Circle Circus stamp set but you also want to get some of the new ink colors and you also want to get the Really Good Greetings then the first day and only day you can order from all of three sources is May 31.

Have a wonderfully creative day!   Hope to stamp with you soon!

CPC Best of Flowers Cards & Tote!

Today I get to share with you the project I designed for Craft Project Central.

CPCprojec photo may 13

I love this Best of Flowers set!  It really does have some of my favorite floral images from Stampin' Up! sets gone by.  You need to know that the size of these flowers are smaller than the original images.  I  was happy to learn this making it an easy decision to buy the set.

In this tutorial you will get the directions to make 3 cards and a fun tote.  One of the cards is a simple  hidden message card which is so easy but very fun.    You will be able to use the ideas in this tutorial with lots of different stamp set.  This would make a fun class and a great gift.

When you subscribe to Craft Project Central for the month of May you will receive this tutorial and 9 others all for just $10.  Pretty sweet deal.  It is easy to subscribe just go to Craft Project Central and get signed up.

You are My Sunshine

You are My Sunshine daffodil delight

Love this single stamp Sunshine!  When it was first released I knew I had to have it.  Just seeing it reminded me of the day when my son was about 5 and just out of the blue started singing this song to me.  I can still see his little face and remember my heart feeling so full and happy.

Stamp: Sunshine 132671 (retiring on May 31)
Ink: VersaMark, Daffodil Delight marker
Paper: Basic Black, Whisper White, Daffodil Delight, Polka Dot Parade DSP
Big Shot: Scallop Square Duo Bigz die (retiring on May 31)
Extras: Black embossing powder, 1/2" Black Scallop Dots ribbon (retiring), Neutrals Glimmer brads

Do you want to know a secret.  This isn't your ordinary 1/2 sheet of cards stock card.  Let me show you.

You are My Sunshine inside

Kind of a fun little fold.

You are my Sunshine side

Do you have a song that everytime you hear it brings back happy memories?   Hope you have a smile on your face remembering it!
