Let's Play Dress Up

Dress by Elise

Isn't this so sweet?  A few weeks ago I met up with fellow SU demonstrator Elise for coffee and this is what she brought me.  I love it and knew it would make a perfect addition to the In Color class I taught a few weeks ago.  Before I show you what we made in class here is the side videw of Elise's dress.

There was (emphasis on was) a piece of candy that came in the box but it is long gone. Wouldn't this make the best favors for a shower, birthday party, heck just about any get together would be made cuter with a cute dress and some chocolate.

Here's the simplified version we made in class.  Don't you just love the new Ruffle Stretch Trim (page 173)?   On one I also added the Delicate Details Lace Tape (page 171 130966).

Since this class was all about the In Colors I went candy shopping with that in mind and found a pretty perfect match to Coastal Cabana  in a new Dove chocolate flavor, mint & dark chocolate swirl.   Do you buy candy based on the color of the wrapping?  I had to laugh at myself as I worked my way down the candy aisle looking for candy based on the color of the wrapper.  Believe me I was so happy to find this one and it is delicious on top of being the right color.

Are you wondering how I made the box to hold the candy?  I am working on a tutorial and will post it tomorrow.   Have a great one and get ready to play more dress up tomorrow!
