Manly Magnificent Maple
August 26, 2013
I love this single stamp, Magnificent Maple. It is a gorgeous detailed image and the first one that came to mind when I found some card parts while I was re-organizing my room . The card parts I found where originally cut to make this card.
This was so fun to make. It is pretty easy and I have a couple of tips to share with you.
Sharons' Stamping Tip # 1 Are you wondering what DSP I used? The DSP (Designer Series Paper) is the Neutrals Paper Stack on page 152. I used a sponge and inked on some Baked Brown Sugar ink to cover up the white on the DSP. Kinda fun huh? Just a little sponging makes a big difference.
Sharon's Stamping Tip # 2 I colored the leaf using a cotton swab inked up in some fall colors(see the list below) and just randomly filled in the image. It was a quick way to add some color and achieve the look of a fall leaf.
Stamps: Magnificent Maple (131868), Four You, Gorgeous Grunge
Ink: Early Espresso, Crushed Curry, Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Baked Brown Sugar
Paper: Early Espresso, Very Vanilla, Neutrals DSP Paper Stack
Extras: Sponges, Colored Rhinestone (retired)
So, does this fit the bill of a manly card? I hope so. If you need a stamp to help you make some masculine cards then Magnificent Maple may just be the stamp for you.
