More...My Paper Pumpkin, Seriously

Remember this post?  Well, I was not done playing with the layered flower( Blossom, Pansy, Boho Blossom) and i needed to send two more cards so here are more variations on the theme.

Seriously modern Medley

I used the Modern Medley DSP instead of stamping my own and I must say I think the Modern Medley DSP is the best!

Isn't it  fun seeing the different looks you can come up with using the same materials?  The My Paper Pumpkin promotion runs until the end of the month.  Be sure to sign up soon so you can get in on the monthly crafting kit fun!

Wetlands in Early Espresso

I believe the Wetlands stamp set was on my first order from the new Stampin' Up! catalog.  I am still making my way around to all the sets I ordered from the Annual and  Holiday catalogs.  I will get there because I have imposed a stamp set purchasing  moratorium  until every set has been properly inked and used.   It is going to be tough but I am holding myself to it.

Wetlands in Early Espresso

 Stamps: Wetlands
Ink: Soft Suede, Early Espresso
Paper:  Early Espresso, Very Vanilla, Early Espresso Core'dinations, Soft Suede
Punches: Large Oval
Big Shot: Woodgrain folder, Deco Labels Collection
Extras: Stamping sponges, Antique Brads,  7/16" Trim,  Stampin' Sanding block

Don't you love how the woodgrain looks?  I used  the Core'dinations paper and after texturizing it with the Woodgrain folder I sanded it.   The Core'dinations paper (page 157) is available in all the colors and sold by the color collection.

Wetland close

I am working on more samples using this set.  I like sharing  lots of ideas using one set.  It is a fun challenge.  If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.

MPP 3 x 3 Bermuda

The adorable flower is from the Flower Shop set,  the diagonal lines is from July's My Paper Pumpkin kit, and the sentiment is from the first My Paper Pumpkin box you will receive.   Did you see the stamped envelope liner?   The envelope liner framelit (page 37 132172) is in the Holiday catalog.  You can use coordinating Designer Series Paper-great way to use those leftover pieces or in this case I used computer paper and stamped it.  The envelope framelit cuts 3 sizes of liners and they work perfectly with Stampin' Up's envelopes.

MPP 3 x 3 Melon

MPP 3 x 3 starfruit

CPC Flower Shop Cards and Box

Cpc aug 13 project picture

I designed this box and card set because I love having a supply of handmade gifts to give friends, co-workers, or as a hostess gift.   This tutorial includes the box, 2 card designs, and the sweet little tag.   If you would like to receive this tutorial and 9 others please head over to Craft Project Central and subscribe to the month of August.

Seriously, My Paper Pumpkin (MPP)

I am sure by now you have heard about My Paper Pumpkin.   If you haven't, it is a monthly craft subscription that includes all the supplies (except adhesive) to make a fun and quick paper craft project.   Past  project kits have included card kits, a mini scrapbook, and even a mini banner  project! Part of the fun is not knowing what you will get from month to month.  The only certainty is the first month you will receive the Welcome kit which includes a Size D clear block.  Why a clear block?  Well every month in addition to the paper goods you also receive an  ink spot or 2 and an exclusive stamp or 2 or 3!  I love receiving the distinctive My Paper Pumpkin box in the mail and opening it up to see what fun lies within!

The project is a quick one and will usually take maybe 30 minute or so which can easily be fitted into anyone's busy life.   Once you make the project the paper goods may be gone but you will still have the ink spots and stamps and so far I have LOVED the stamps.

MPP Seriously

Seriously, I love the stamps!  Yes, the "seriously" was one of the My Paper Pumpkin(MPP) stamps that was in the April MPP kit.    I used another MPP stamp on this card as well.  Have you figured it out?  It is the honeycomb image  stamped in Smoky Slate.   This stamp was in the July MPP kit and it was 1 of 3 stamps in that kit and all of them make great  backgrounds.  I did use my handy stamp positioner to line up the image and i think it looks like a piece of Designer Series Paper.

Bee Well

A friend of mine recently had an unfortunate encounter with some bees.   They were not happy with her for disturbing them.  I had to make her a card and I knew what I wanted it to look like.  I pulled out my new Label Pop'n Cuts amd got to  work.

Bee Well inside

I have the bee attached with a piece of window sheet so it moves just a little when you open the card.  I had so much fun making this card and I knew she would get a laugh out of it and she did.

Stamps: Yippee -Skippee
Ink: Black Stazon, Real Red Stampin' Write marker
Paper: Daffodil Delight, Basic Black, Whisper White,  Vellum card stock, Red Glimmer paper, Neutrals DSP stack, Brights DSP stack
Punches: 2-1/2" Circle, Extra-Large Oval, Small Heart, Large Oval
Big Shot: Card base Pop 'n Cuts, Label Pop 'n Cuts, Typeset Alphabets Bigz
Extras: Googly eyes

Here's what the front loks like.

Bee Well front

See that cute little frog (aka a card holder).  Isn't it so cute?  My friend gave me it so I thought it only fitting that I use it  to hold up the card I made for her.

Bee Well inside side

I am really liking the Pop 'n Cuts concept and will be playing around with them a lot more.  The creator of the dies, Karen Burniston was at the SU! Convention.  I saw some of the thing she made and they were totally inspiring.   Unfortunately all my photos  of her samples are kind of blurry.  Big sigh.

If you have any questions about this card or want more information about Stampin' Up!  feel free to contact me.  Have a marvelous day and Bee Well!
