Do you know what Sunday is?  It is the day of the Stamper's Dozen blog hop!  Be sure to check back.  I know there will be lots of great samples to see.  I have seen a few of the samples and they are super cute and fun.

You're a Star More from Pictogram Punches

I am working my way through the box of fun and here is the 2nd card using the Pictogram Punches stamp set.   It is a pretty clean and simple card.

124005s
Silver Glimmer Paper
[124005]
$4.95

*To make the washi star I cut a piece of card stock 2-1/2" x 2-1/2".  I covered it with the Beach House washi tape and then cut out the star using the Star Framelits die.

*I used the same star framelit and cut out the star on a piece of 4" x 5-1/4" Whisper White card stock.  Stamp the sentiment and then emboss it using the Perfect Polka Dots folder.

*Adhere the layer onto a card base (4-1/4" x 5-1/2").  Insert the washi star into the star cut out.

*Punch out the star and heart using the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack and attach it to the card using Stampin' Dimensionals.

The silver glimmer paper I used for the heart and star are from the last catalog.  I need to order the new silver glimmer paper it is  a lot more silvery and coordinates with the other silver products we have.

Well, I need to get going.  I have a friend coming over to stamp and she's bringing her box of fun.  It's going to be a fabulous day.

You're a Star Pictogram Punches

I am finally digging in to my box of new Stampin' Up! products.   It is most definitely a fun box!  This year instead of immediately putting everything away I decided to only put stamp sets away once I have played with them.  My goal is to make at least 4 samples for each set.  This will eliminate me finding sets that I have not inked up because i forgot about them.  I am also trying to follow the rule that I cannot place another other order for myself until the box is empty.  That is going to be tough since i already have a list of stamps and accessories for my next order.

First up is the stamp set Pictogram Punches.  I am trying to share a manly project on most (notice here I wrote most) Mondays.  I am not the best at this kind of card but I want to work on getting better.

I am totally smitten with the In Color  (2013-15) Sequins.  Just wish they came in all the colors.

Here's a glimpse of the inside of the card.

I am not sure if I will be using it for a Father's Day card or not so for now I am leaving it blank inside.

If you want more information about  any of the products, just click on the link in the chart above.

Here's a little more feminine version  of the card.

Most of the supplies are the same except here I used Early Espresso ink for the sentiment and Crisp Cantaloupe for the card base.

Bloom With Hope Re-Do

Here is the re-do of the card I posted on Friday.  I changed things by cutting out the flower and adding some Mossy Meadow leaves. The leaves were cut using the new Flower Frenzy die.

What do you think, is this an improvement?  I wish I had stamped the sentiment a little lower but overall I am happy with the card .

Bloom with Hope

Shhh...don't tell, I should be working on getting ready for the Garage Sale and not in my stamp room.   It was just too hard to resist playing just a little bit with some of my fabulous new stamps and accessories from the new catalog.  Now that I see this card on the screen I know there is something not quite right with it.  I should have cut the flower out  and added some leaves or something.  It looks strange just floating there.  I have no time to fix it so this will have to do for now.  I will take it apart and show you another version soon.

Bloom with Hope Cherry Cobbler Blendabilities

Want to see something funny?  I tried to stay up last night and do a little coloring on one of the new sets I got.  I was pretty tired so it did not go too well.  You know how you do those head bobs and you jerk  yourself awake?  Well, this is what it looks like when you are coloring and do that.

Coloring bloopers

You can see I dozed off a couple of times at least!  I had a good laugh when I saw this on my table this morning.

Okay, I seriously need to get going.

In Color Grid Card

Today is another BIG day!  My first order from the new catalog should be here sometime this afternoon.  Unfortunately the next few days are pretty darn busy and I am not sure how much stamping time there will be.  Heavy sigh...

While I've been patiently waiting for my order I made a few different styles of In Color Cards.  I shared one in my newsletter, did you get it?  If you didn't then you need to go  to the right side of the blog and sign up for my mailing list.  Yes, I am actually back to writing a newsletter!  If you signed up to be on my mailing list in the last few months and did not get it, please check your junk folder.

On to the card!  This card is pretty clean and simple.

In Color Grid hello

I love the look of grids.  There is just a teeny twist to this card.  Here's a side view.

The front of the card is cut 1" shorter.  I told you it was just a teeny twist.  Here's what I used to make this card.  If you click on any of the links it will take you to my online store.  Just want to make it easy for you!

That is it for now.  Have to get moving on my list and then just maybe there will be time to stamp!

Use My Stash Sunday and the Fresh Prints pack

I admit it, I love  DSP (Designer Series Paper) aka patterned paper.  I love it so much that I tend to save all  my scraps and have hoarding tendencies when it comes to using it.  With the arrival of the new Stampin' Up! catalog I realize that I have a lot of DSP that I haven't used.  Well, I am going to use it and all the scraps I cannot bear to throw away.   Welcome to Use My Stash Sundays.  I am going to use my DSP stash both new and retired.  Hopefully, I will find fun ways to use my beloved DSP.

This is probably one of my go to card styles.  I sure had fun mixing and matching patterns from the Fresh Prints DSP pack.   The Fresh Prints pack is probably my favorite little paper stack to date.  The colors are so cheery and happy: Coastal Cabana, Real Red, Crumb Cake and White.

SS Sunday Scraps

The "hi" is from the Regarding Dahlias stamp set.  I used the Blossom punch and the 1-1/4" and 1-3/8" circle punches.  Very simple and quick to make.

You probably don't even need the measurements but here they are in case you are interested.  All of the DSP was attached to a Whisper White card base 4-1/4" x 11".

SS freshprints empire

Here's one more combination I made.  I will probably make a few more while I have everything out.

SS 6-1-14

The Fresh Prints DSP stack will be available for a few more days.  Remember the Stampin' Up! ordering system will be down from midnight (June 2) until about noon on June 2.  They are getting ready for the new catalog.  I will be ready and waiting to order tomorrow!
