Stamper's Dozen Blog Hop... Home of the Brave

Blog hop banner

Yes, it is time for another fun Stamper's Dozen Blog Hop!  This month's theme...Home of the Brave.  I will be honest I was a little stumped on what to make.  Fortunately  the Stars framelits were one of my first purchases from the new Stampin' Up! catalog so I had them as my starting point.  Next I wanted to use some patterned paper and the only thing that I knew that had the colors I needed was the DSP stacks.   It was pure coincidence that I saw the chevron design.  It is not exactly stars and stripes but I think it works.

I love that the stars appear to be floating.  I know I cannot fool you but it is a fun illusion.  Are you wondering how did I get navy blue glimmer paper?  I used my old trick of embossing Iridescent Ice embossing powder over Night of Navy card stock.
