This card as simple as it looks took me forever to glue down.

 The flower was colored  on Monday and the Irresistibly Yours DSP was sponged on Tuesday and then it sat on my desk.  I tried all kinds of different layouts, layers, seriously it was  kind of ridiculous.  This should have been easy since I started out with this lovely clean and crisp layout from the Techno Stamper sketch TSSC #359.  

 Finally this morning I decided I had to finish the card. Still not sure about it but I am moving on!

It is amazing how soft the white embossing powder makes the image look.  It does however make it a little harder to see since it is white on white!   It is a rainy, stay indoors kind of day here, so i think I will spend it coloring some springtime flowers.   If you need any supplies to make your own spring cards CLICK HERE to go to my online store.

I am excited to be participating in the Stamper's Dozen Blog Hop this month!  I had to miss last month, did you miss me?  Well I certainly missed participating.  The theme this month is Home Decor.  I was a little intimidated at first but hopefully you will like what I came up with.

Rainbow butterflies on the wall!  This wasn't exactly what I started out making but I love how it turned out.  The piece is  layered on a 4" x 12" stretched canvas.  I bought a bunch of these canvasses for some long forgotten project and recently unearthed them while organizing my workspace and they were a perfect way to display the butterflies.

I used the same technique to color the butterflies that I used in my last two posts.  It is so fun and easy  to do and I love the effect.

If you are not familiar with the water color float technique here's an overview.  In my sample I embossed the image which helps to contain the water and ink.  I wet one petal with the Aqua Painter and then picked up some re-inker and touched it to the petal.  The water on the petal helps to  "float" the color. Continue until all the petals are colored.

The Sheer Perfection Vellum is really different and so fun to work with.  You can color on the back of it using markers and customize it to coordinate with your project.  In this sample I chose to line it with Pink Pirouette card stock.  Vellum can be tricky since it is so sheer but I was able to hide my glue dots behind the print.  In the Sheer Perfection Vellum Stack you will get 24 6" x 6" sheets, 2 each of 12 designs.  I also used the Nature's Perfection stamp set.  I love that butterfly and yes it can be punched out using the Elegant Butterfly punch.
