Stamper's Dozen Blog Hop...Bold and Bright!
June 14, 2015
Welcome to the June edition of the Stamper's Dozen Blog Hop! This month's theme, Bold and Bright! The theme could also have been...some of My Favorite Things! I used 3 new products from the recently released Stampin' Up! catalog and they are all favorite things of mine. The ribbon I used is not a new one but it is also qualifies as a favorite thing.
I love this big, bold dahlia! Just one stamp and it makes a big statement. I chose Real Red ink to make it really stand out and well I love black, white and red cards.
The strip of black and white paper is from the Everyday Chic Designer Series Paper. I was sad to say goodbye to the Back to Black DSP but am totally over it now that I have the Everyday Chic DSP! Did you see the new Expressions Natural Elements? Love these wood veneer words and the font is just perfect. When you order the Expressions Natural Elements you will get 15 pieces: 5 each of 3 different designs (Congrats, Celebrate, Thanks)
Can you see that the dahlia has a little glittery shimmer? My Real Red Classic ink pad is quite juicy so I was able to apply some Iridescent Ice embossing powder and heat emboss it. You have to work pretty quickly but it is possible. Love how it looks and wish I could get a better picture of it.
