Remarkable You

I feel so lucky when members of my team send or give me cards.  I mean who doesn't love a hand stamped card?  Today I have a lovely card made by Kerri and one of her downline, Cindy.  I think they got together and stamped and came up with this beauty.  Thanks Kerri and Cindy!

Isn't it wonderful?  I immediately wanted to order this set.  Lots of touches that all add up to create a beautiful card.

Simple Sunday: Bohemian Borders

I have a simple share for you to do.  I had a few leftover Blackberry Bliss card bases that were 4-1/4" x 9" scored at 5-1/2".  I wanted to see what I could come up with using these bases.  This is the first one I made and I will be sharing the other 2 this week.

Bohemian Borders and DSP

I made a simple pocket card.  The inside card measures 3-3/4" x 5-1/2".  I decided to keep it simple since there's already a lot going on with the Bohemian Designer Series Paper.

A Little Cup of Birthday Wishes

Just a quick share of a cute little cup that was made by one of my downline, Kim C. She made this sweet little gift for a Shoebox swap I organized a few weekends ago.

Stamper's Dozen Blog Hop...Babies!

Blog hop header

Welcome to the Stamper's Dozen Blog Hop!  This month it is all about Babies.  It has been a while since I had a baby in the house so we were all very excited to welcome Skye.  Skye is my great nephew and in this picture he is 7 months old.

Something for Baby Skye frame

Isn't he just adorable?  I just love his hat.  To decorate his frame I cut a bunch of balloons based on the  colors that were in his shirt.  I also added a bunch of stars, cause after all he is one.

I cut off the bottom of the onesie to make the shirt.  Don't you just love a polka dot tie?

SDBH skye

I stamped the little dots from the Calling All Heroes stamp set onto Real Red card stock.  I wanted his name to stand out a little more so I cut the letters out twice and layered them so they were thicker.  This was a lot of fun to create.

Next on the hop is France Matin.  I know she has something adorable to share with you!

Best Thoughts and Watercolor

It is day 13 of my 31 Day Blogging Challenge.  It has not been easy and there have been days that I was posting at the last minute but I am happy that i have made it this far.  To reward myself I took a little time and did some watercoloring.

Best Thoughts watercolor

I just love this big flower image from the Best Thoughts stamp set.   This set is an exclusive set available to  hosts.   I started by heat embossing the image with white embossing powder.  I used an Aqua Painter with Real Red and Old Olive ink refills to do the coloring.

Product List

The only supply not listed is the sentiment is from the Watercolor Wishes Card kit.   The 12 piece stamp set is included in the kit.   We will talk more about the kit on another post.

Sneak Peek: Happy Scenes Latch Card

I received my box of new goodies from the upcoming Stampin’ Up! Holiday catalog.  This catalog is amazing.  I really had to exercise some self control and not push the “ i want it all “ button when I ordered.

I wrote out my to do list for the week and at the top of my list is to finish a tutorial on  this card.  I want you to know that I am working on it and it will be posted this week.  In the meantime here is another latch card using some of the new products that will be available to purchase in September.  I couldn't resist the call of the new stamp sets and accessoires.

Happy Scenes latch card

I love the Happy Haunting DSP.  It is not overtly Halloween.  Most of the papers flip side has a design that would work for any occasion.   I already regret not ordering 2 packages cause I know this one is going to get used up.

Happy Scene side

Product List

The Happy Scenes stamp set is another must have.  This set will take you from fall through the winter. The fact that I only used one stamp set to create this card is pretty amazing.

Keeping this short so I can work on and finish  the tutorial.  Thanks for your patience and gentle reminders.

Simple Sunday: Bloom for You

It is Simple Sunday which means it is  time for a super quick and simple card.

Bloom for You simple sunday

When creating a simple project it is good  to use a strong color combination.  I chose the strong and clean combination of black, white and red.

To add a little more interest to the flower I embossed the middle of the flower with Iridescent Ice embossing powder.  I think it dresses up the card just a bit.  I also stamped and punched the flower twice to make it fuller and again to add some more interest.

Sketched Dots Tag a Bag Gift Bags

I have been making a lot of note cards that I shared with you here and here.    I ordered these bags on my first order from the 2015-16 Stampin' Up! catalog, I just knew they were going to come in handy and they did!

Sketched Dots gift bags

Sketched Dots gift bags 2

The note cards fit perfectly and there is room for 2-3 note cards and envelopes.  The note cards measure 3-1/2" x 5".  The Sketched Dots gift bags are made from glassine sheets.  Glassine sheets remind of what would result if vellum and wax paper had a baby.

Sketched Dots Gift Bags 3

If you need a quick way to package some note cards or even a baked treat consider ordering the Sketched Dots Tag a Bag Gift Bags.  You can order anytime through my online store.  I would appreciate it.
