Fun Fold Friday: All About the Wild About Flowers Re-do

I have received lots of questions about how to make this card, so today we are going to make it together.

You will need:

Card Base: 4-1/4" x 7-1/4" and 2-1/2" x 4-1/4" (bottom piece).  Score the larger piece at 5-1/2".

DSP: 1-3/4" x 4" and 2-1/4" x 4" (I used 2 different patterns from the Pretty Petals DSP stack)

Inside of the card: 4" x 5-1/4"

Front panel: 2-1/4" x 3 -3/4"(same color as the card base), 2" x 3-1/2"(same as the inside of the card)

1. Attach the DSP to the top and bottom pieces.

2. Stamp the flowers on the 2" x 3-1/2" piece.  Wrap a ribbon around and tie a knot.  Layer on the 2-1/4" x 3-3/4" piece.

3. Position the bottom piece (2-1/2" x 4-1/4") on the card base.  Take care to line up the edges.  Put Stampin' Dimensionals on the 4 corners of the stamped piece and attach it to the top of the card and the bottom.  This is what holds the card together.

4. Using a pencil lightly mark the area you will stamp the sentiment.  You can see where I marked it in the photo above.  This will help you to know where to stamp.

5.  Stamp the sentiment.  Erase the pencil marks and you are done.

I hope this will help you make your own card.  I made another sample of this style of card and will post it on my Facebook page.  I hope this tutorial helps and if you make one send me a link so I can see what you made!

More Wild About Flowers

I have another quick and easy one layer card for you.  I had a bunch of squares leftover after I made yesterday's card.  I couldn't throw them away so I used them for today's cards.

Wild About Flowers Note Cards

Today I have a clean and simple one layer card.  It is actually a one layer note card.   Wild About Flowers wisteria wonder

First off I need to apologize about the color.  I took a lot of pictures and could not capture the true Wisteria Wonder color.   Please know that the actual color is lovely.

I used the Stampin' Up! note cards for today's project.  The note cards are a deal.  They are made from heavier card stock (I think it is the same as the Whisper White Thick card stock pg 149) and come with an envelope.  You get 20 note cards and envelopes for $6.  The note cards are 3-1/2" x 5" so they are mailable and also come in Crumb Cake.

The window was made using the Project Life Paper Clips Thinlits die.  Using the die made it super simple and quick.  I want to also point out the  Elegant Dots embossing folder.  I didn't see this new folder in the catalog and then I received a card that used it and now I am on a mission to make sure everyone sees it.   There's so much to see when there is a new catalog that it is easy to overlook some real gems.

Okay, that is day 5 and it is still morning here!

World of Thanks

I am not posting as late as yesterday but it is later than I would like.  Much of my morning was taken up with my pre-order from the upcoming Holiday catalog.  All I can say is that it is an amazing catalog and I think you are going to love it.  I know I do and my pre-order reflects it. Being able to preorder is one of the perks of being a demonstrator, there are many more so please contact me if you would like more information.

I hope I have not shared this before.  I made this sample a while ago.  If I have shared it please play along with me and pretend it is a new one.

Something for Baby in Mint Macaron

Can I let you in on something I am working on?  I decided I wanted to get back into the habit of blogging regularly and the way I am going to do this is to blog everyday in August.  Okay, it is 9 pm (my time) and I am just writing my post now!  I had almost convinced myself that it could wait until tomorrow but seriously I could not break the chain on day 3!

Something for Baby Mint Macaron

I purchased the Something for Baby stamp set and Baby's First Framelits last year.  Honestly they have not seen much action until this month.  I have a bunch of baby cards to send and later in the month Babies is the theme for the Stamper's Dozen Blog Hop so you will be seeing it in action again.

Wild About Flowers Easel Card

Yes, it is true I am quite taken with the Wild About Flowers stamp set.  I have shared other cards using this set here, here and here.  Today’s card is a bit of a fail but we will talk about that in a little bit.

This card was supposed to be a swinging easel card.  After I finished making it I wondered why it was called a "swinging" easel card since nothing really swung.  It finally dawned on me what I did wrong.  Even though this card isn't a "swinger"  I still think it is cute.

Stay tuned I will be attempting to make a swinging easel card and this time I hope it will actually swing.

Floral Wings

Floral Wings is one of the hostess sets in the Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog.   It is a fun Two (sometimes Three) Step stamp set.

Floral Wings midriff card

I cut the butterfly out using the Bold Butterfly framelits and another butterfly using the Butterflies thinlits out of card stock vellum.  It is wonderful to have so many mix and match framelits, thinlits, and stamp sets.
