Snowman Fun
November 18, 2015
This past weekend I attended the Stampin' Up! OnStage local event. It was a wonderful weekend full of inspiration, friends, sneak peeks, and of course stamping. I learned a lot about the upcoming Occasions catalog ( it is fabulous) and I am looking forward to sharing lots of ideas with you in the coming weeks. It was also a time for me to stop and take a look at my stamping business. I will talk about that another time cause it really is a whole other conversation.
Back to the OnStage event. It is customary to bring your team members who attend a card or gift. I failed to take pictures of what i gave my team. I know(what a fail) but I did not finish them until the morning of the event so I was just happy to get them completed. I do have pictures of the little snowman treat I included in their package. I also made extras of these to give to friends.
These are fun and quick to put together! The Real Red "tray" measures 1-7/8" x 4-1/4", scored on both sides at 3/8". The tray is not really necessary but it makes getting the snowman in the bag much easier. The plastic bag is one that I purchased last time I was in Honolulu. It measures 1.9" x 9.8". I trimmed it down a bit to accommodate my project. You can also use pretzel bags but they are a little bigger. I wrapped the candies with copy paper and attached the Black Glimmer paper buttons with glue dots. Using a Black marker I outlined just the face of the larger snowman from the Snow Place stamp set. I stamped and die cut the scarf and the hat using the Snow Friends Framelits dies.
Product List
The Snow Friends Framelits dies are on the Weekly Deal! I know it is almost like I planned it but it is just a happy coincidence.
I will also be posting another little treat using the Snow Place set and Snow Friends on my Facebook page later on today, so be sure to check it out! Have a great one and thanks for stopping by!
Stamper's Dozen Blog Hop...Christmas!
November 14, 2015
Welcome to the Stamper's Dozen Blog Hop...Christmas! Thank you for joining us on our hop!
I had a difficult time trying to decide on what to make. Finally I decided to share with you my Christmas plate. On the last blog hop I shared with you my Hello Fall plate and decided to update it for this blog hop. It was VERY hard to decide what stamp sets to use. There are so many wonderful sets available in the Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog. Don't be surprised if I share another plate idea soon.
Are you wondering where those big snowflakes are from? It might be hard to believe but they are the spider web doilies. I inked up the back of the spider web doilies with VersaMark and covered them with a mix of White embossing powder and Iridescent Ice embossing powder. Don't they look totally different?
It is hard to capture all the glitter and shine on the snowflakes. I definitely need a glitter setting on my camera. I also used VersaMark and a custom mix of Silver embossing powder and Silver glitter to cover the Snowflake Elements. They add a lot of sparkle to the plate.
I love the Christmas Greetings Thinlits dies and hope we will get more words using this font. I wanted to keep up the glittery look so I cut the peace out using Silver Glimmer paper.
Once again I built the design on a separate piece and attached it to the plate using velcro.

Next up on the blog hop is France Martin. She always has something fun and beautiful to share!
If you haven't seen what BJ Peters made then you really must!
Thanks again for stopping by and hopping along with the Stamper's Dozen Blog Hop!
Lighthearted Leaves Thank You
November 11, 2015
I have now sent 7 thank you cards since the beginning of November. I challenged myself to send out at least 14 thank you cards this month as part of my Take Time for Thanks challenge. Here's one of the cards I will be sending.
I adore this stamp set and have made lots of cards using it. You can see other cards I made using this set here, here, and here.

Thanks for stopping by and let me know who you are sending a thank you card to!
Try Stampin' on Tuesday Challenge #244
November 10, 2015
Every other Tuesday I participate on the Try Stampin' on Tuesday Design Team. I really enjoy the challenge and I highly recommend playing along! Here is this week's sketch.
You actually have 2 weeks to design your project. You can share your project on the blog or on the Try Stampin' On Tuesday Facebook page.
Here's what I designed for the challenge.
Product List
I wanted a glittery snowflake so I embossed a Snowflake Element using VersaMark ink and a combination of Silver embossing powder and Silver glitter. To add even more sparkle I attached an Iced Rhinestone Embellishment to the middle of the snowflake.
I hope you will join in the fun and participate in the Try Stampin' on Tuesday Challenge #244!
November: Take Time for Thanks
November 04, 2015
Recently, I issued a Take Time for Thanks challenge to my team. The challenge is to make and send 7 thank you cards in November. We are entering that crazy, busy time of year and it is easy to forget to thank people and show your appreciation for them. I admit that I am a WAY more prolific card maker then card sender. I am trying to remedy this situation and my personal challenge is to send 14 thank you cards this month. I would like to get to the point that I send a card a day. One of my team members sends out 5-6 cards a week! She has inspired me and I am working on upping my game.
Look familiar? This card was cased from the Stampin' Up! Holiday catalog.
Again, this was made using the Stampin' Up! Holiday catalog as the inspiration. These are the 2 thank you cards I am writing and sending today. Thank you for stopping by!
