It is time for another Create with Connie and Mary Challenge!  This week it is a color challenge.

I will be honest, this had me stumped until I realized that these colors can be found in the Going Places paper stack.  For whatever reason once I knew that and looked at the papers I knew what I wanted to do.  I pulled out the  Definitely Dahlia stamp and got to work.

Here's how I made this card.  I first inked up the stamp in Delightful Dijon ink.  Before stamping I wiped away some of the ink from the center of the stamp.  After I stamped the image I cleaned up the stamp and then inked the center portion in Lost Lagoon ink.  I did wipe away some of the ink so there would not be any straight lines and then using a stamp positioner stamped over the Delightful Dijon image.  

Do you see that awesome green color where the Lost Lagoon ink overlapped the Delightful Dijon ink?  Doesn't it look like Mossy Meadow?  That was such a happy accident!  I layered the image on Lost Lagoon and Sahara Sand card stock and added a strip of DSP from the Going Places paper stack.    I finished it up with some Metallic Gold Baker's twine.

Pretty simple but I think pretty cute card.  I am not stamping any sentiment for right now.  I know I have most occasions covered with either the Party Pants set or the Perfect Pairings set.

I have not done a Flashback Friday post in a long time.  I generally try and use  only current Stampin' Up! products but I had to make an exception. Are you ready for more flower pots?

I made these for a lunch I went to.  The day was rainy and gray so they really  helped to brighten up the room.  I had to use the Daisies #2 die that we used to sell to decorate the flowerpots.  The flowerpots contain a little peat pellet and some daisy or sunflower seeds.  The die was just perfect for the daisy and  it also worked for the sunflower.  I used the Vintage Leaves stamp set and the Leaflets framelits for the leaves.

I am so excited to share with you some news!  I am on the Create with Connie and Mary Challenge design team!   Every Thursday I will be stamping along with the other members of the team in the challenge.  Sometimes it is a sketch challenge and sometimes it is a color challenge.  I am excited  to join in the stamping fun with the other talented stampers on the team, I just hope I can keep up.

Here's what I came up with for the sketch.

I decided to pull out a set that has not been inked up in a while,  Serene Silhouettes.   I embossed the image with white embossing powder and love how it pops on the black card stock.    I added just a thin strip of the Red Glimmer paper for a little color.   The patterned paper is from the Everyday Chic pack.   Be sure to check out the Create with Connie and Mary Blog and see what the other designers made and also all the detials on how you can play along with the challenge.  I would love to see you participate.  It is a lot of fun and this is a great sketch.

Super cute sketch!  This is what I designed for the challenge.  

I used the Sale-A-Bration stamp set What I Love.  This is a pretty 3 step stamp set.  It is available in photopolymer which makes it much easier to get things lined up.  This set is very forgiving and amazingly it always looks great.

Stopping by for a quick post.  I just realized that I have a bunch of deadlines coming up.  I have been tootling along thinking I had everything more or less under control...Big Mistake!  I looked at my big wall calendar and saw all the red scribbles (which mean things are due!) and realized  I better get a move on.

There are a couple of things that are not listed in the supply list.  The "thinking of you" is from the February 2016 My Paper Pumpkin kit called Hello Sunshine and I also used the Mint Macaron marker and it is available in a set of In Color markers.

I don't want to be an alarmist but Sale-A-Bration is almost over!  We have just about 2 weeks left before Sale-A-Bration 2016 is history.  Because the end of Sale-A-Bration is near,  I wanted to be sure my hostess club members got a chance to use as many of the SAB products as possible.  Here is one of the cards we made. 

On this one project we used the Botanicals for You stamp set, the What I Love stamp set, the Botanical Gardens Designer Vellum Stack and the Wildflower Fields Designer Series Paper.   Wow!  Like I said i wanted to be sure they had an opportunity to play with as many of the Sale-A-Bration products as possible.   I attached the vellum over the "just for you" to soften it a bit.  I placed glue dots in the corner to secure the vellum and then used the flowers to cover them up.

Wildflower Fields DSP: 1-1/2" x 5", 2-1/2" x 5" (there is a little overlap)
