Swirly Bird Sneak Peek

It has been a few days since I last posted.  I wonder why?  Could it have anything to do with the arrival of my pre-order box of goodies arriving from Stampin' Up!?  I was not planning to share any sneak peeks from the 2016-17 catalog.  Why?  Well, there's so much from the current catalog that I still want to share.  Since I had to  play with the new colors, stamps and accessories I decided a sneak peek of a quick card using a new stamp set and 2 new In Colors was okay to share.

I am sorry that the picture doesn't show off the In Colors properly.  I used Peekaboo Peach and Flirty Flamingo.  The new ruched ribbon is fabulous.  It is really easy to tie and has a lovely texture.

I also used the "hello" from Watercolor Wishes(this set is included in the Watercolor Wishes card kit) and the Large Polka Dot embossing folder.  The Swirly Bird stamp set has 24 stamps and here I only used 3 so I don't think I am giving too much away.  This is a very versatile set and a definite must have.  There is also a coordinating thinlit and will be available as a bundle.

I am working on getting  catalogs ready for mailing so be sure to contact me if you need a new Stampin' Up! catalog!

Pretty Petals Quilt

I love pretty paper.  No surprise, right?  I also tend to hoard my pretty paper.  Sound familiar?   I also keep scraps of my pretty paper.  We are not talking just big scraps but little ones too.   During my recent craft room shake up I found lots of these little bags of scraps.  I tried to throw them away but just couldn't do it.  Today's card is a result of my inability to throw away those bags.  I think I will be making a lot of these cards.

This is the Pretty Petals DSP stack.  I love this paper stack  and sadly it is retiring.  I used the Hexagon punch also retiring and just punched out a lot of hexagons and started arranging them on a piece of cardstock.  It was fun playing around with the placement of the different patterns.   Each card will be a little different.

I used the Floral Frames framelits to make the little flower.  The Floral Frames are also retiring.

Did you see the little strip of DSP inside of the card?  That is why I cannot throw out scraps.  Seriously, I am going to work on being less of a hoarder and enjoy actually playing with my pretty paper.     Be sure to order your retiring products soon.

Create with Connie and Mary Challenge #CCMC405

It is time for the Create with Connie and Mary Challenge #CCMC405!

CCMC405

Here's what I made using the sketch.

Floral Wings CCMC 405 May 2016

I used just one stamp set on this card and it is a hostess set called Floral Wings.  I love the combination of the tiny polka dots and the bright flowers.   This card has a little secret.  It is also an easel card.

Picture Perfect

I have spent the past few days cleaning and organizing my craft room.  My craft room is a tiny bedroom and it is packed with all sorts of crafty goodies.  There is  still  a lot to sort through and like all my organizing projects it  has sparked other projects.  The good news is that the room is at least functional and I can resume stamping.

Picture Perfect 515

I don't know how Stampin' Up made the stamps in the Picture Perfect stamp set but they look so realistic.  They do take some practice lining up but the results are beautiful.

Picture Perfect window May16

I made the window and frame using the soon to be retired Squares Collection framelits.  The specific squares are #3 and #4 (the numbering system I use starts with #1 as the smallest framelit).

Product List

This card is a mix of retiring products and products that will be in the next catalog.  If you click on any of the pictures above it will take you to my online store, makes shopping easier.
