Christmas Pines
November 09, 2016
Usually I have my posts scheduled to go up early in the morning (Pacific Time). Today I am running a little/lot behind schedule. I have been playing with my new Stitched framelits. Today I used it as a layer instead of adding the usual scalloped piece, I used a stitched piece.
I used the Presents and Pine Cones DSP and I love this color combination. Who would have thought that Cherry Cobbler, Emerald Envy, Mint Macaron and Delightful Dijon would look so good together. This is a great non traditional color combinations for Christmas. I used the Pretty Pines Thinlits to cut out all the foliage.
I made some frosted berries to add to the foliage. I embossed Cherry Cobbler card stock with a custom mix of 1 part Clear embossing powder and 1 part Dazzling Diamonds glitter. I use this mix a lot since SU! no longer sell Iridescent Ice embossing powder.

On Friday, I will post a tutorial on how I made this card style. It is easy and a great way to show off your pretty patterned paper. You can see another sample of this card style here. Check back tomorrow for the Create with Connie and Mary challenge!
