Embellished Ornaments and the Create with Connie and Mary Challenge #432
November 10, 2016
Welcome to the Create with Connie and Mary Challenge #432! This week we have this color combination for you!
Can I make a confession? I hope you won't judge me too harshly but the only thing copper I have in my craft room is copper embossing powder. I thought about quickly trying to order some copper foil paper or some DSP but in the end I decided I would just have to make it work with what I had on hand.
Here's the supplies I used on my card.
Stamps: Embellished Ornaments( ornament and holly) and Star of Light(background swirl and sentiment)
Ink: VersaMark
Paper: Very Vanilla (card base 4-1/4" x 11"), Night of Navy (3-7/8" x 5-1/8" and 3-3/4" x 3"), Mint Macaron 3-3/4" x 5" and 2" x 3")
Big Shot: Delicate Ornaments Thinlits dies
Embellishments: Mint Macaron 3/8" Sheer Linen Ribbon, Night of Navy Solid Baker's Twine
Other: Copper Embossing Powder
Be sure to check out what the other design team members created for the challenge. They always amaze me with their creativity. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you will participate in the Create with Connie and Mary Challenge.
Haha! I read your post and really giggled to myself because I went through the exact same process as you but the only copper thing I had to work with was foil paper! I toyed with making a quick purchase too! I think you made your embossing powder work wonders for you! It really became the star of your card, highlighting the beautiful, delicate ornament! I admire your elegant style!

Well, you may have only had copper embossing powder in your stash but you totally made it work for you Sharon - the embossed elements co-ordinate beautifully and make for an elegant card - and I love the addition of the teeny mint bow!

Wow you really made it work! Such a beautiful card. It doesn't need anything else! Great job!

Thanks Jenny! Sometimes I think it is easier to create when you have limited options. On the other hand, most days I want lots and lots of options!
