RemarkableYou and the Create with Connie and Mary Challenge
November 24, 2016
Happy Thanksgiving! Hope you are spending the day in a way that is perfect for you. I am thankful that you dropped by. Today is the Create with Connie and Mary Challenge #434.
Since this challenge is landing on Thanksgiving, I wanted to be sure that I shared something that expressed my gratitude.
I embossed this lovely image from the Remarkable You stamp set. I used Cherry Cobbler and Delightful Dijon ink refills and an Aqua Painter to color the petals. I heat embossed the image using a special mix of Gold Embossing powder and Gold Glitter to get a sparkly outline.
You can see the glittery image better in this picture. I tied a simple double knot using the Cherry Cobbler ribbon that is featured in the Holiday Catalog. This ribbon ties beautifully and is so easy to work with. I played around on where to place the strip of Delightful Dijon DSP from the In Color DSP Stack. I couldn't decide which I liked better so I took pictures of both versions.
It is not a big difference but I just couldn't decide. Which do you like better? The DSP on the side or on the bottom?
I hope you are having a fabulous day and I hope you know that I am grateful that you stopped by. If you get some creative time over the next few days i hope you will join in the Create with Connie and Mary Challenge. Be sure to check out what the rest of the design team created with this great color combination.
Sharon this is just lovely - the colouring and shading on the flower is stunning. I think I prefer the dsp on the side, but both cards are winners in my book!

Oh my goodness, Sharon - the glittery embossing is AMAZING!!!! I cannot wait to try this technique for myself! I will be saving your design to case for myself one of these days! The Remarkable You set has a casual style to it but you've made this flower look chic and stylish!

This is lovely! The colors on the flower are beautiful! Both cards are great, but I'm like Joanne and prefer the DSP to the side.

Beautiful and elegant! I love the glitter embossing- great idea. Both cards are stunning but I do prefer the DSP to the side I think.
