Create with Connie and Mary Challenge #436
December 08, 2016
It is Thursday and time for a new Create with Connie and Mary Challenge. This week it is a color challenge and it took me a bit to figure it out. Let me show you the colors.
I will be honest, Sweet Sugarplum is not one of my favorite colors. Part of the problem is that I never have taken the time to figure out all the colors it looks good with. After playing with this combination I think I am beginning to understand Sweet Sugarplum a little more. After all visions of them will soon be dancing in my head, or so the story goes.
I made a little holder for Merci chocolates that were inspired by emery board holders shared by Kerstin. I was surprised how much I liked this color combination and what a fresh look it was for Christmas. I guess Stampin' Up knew this since they used this color combination in the Fancy Frost Suite in the Holiday Catalog. The Sweet Sugarplum ribbon is so glittery and best of all easy to work with.
Here are the different products I used:
sentiment: Merriest Wishes
ink: Archhival Black ink
paper: Sweet Sugarplum, Soft Sky, Whisper White, In Color DSP stack, Silver Glimmer paper
dies: Stitched Shapes, Delicate Ornament Thinlits
other: Sweet Sugarplum 3/8" Glittery Ribbon, In Color Enamel Shapes, 1-3/4"circle punch, Envelope Punch Board
Be sure to check out what the design team created and I hope you will also join in with the Create with Connie and Mary Challenge.
Oh, this little favor is SO cute...and love it dressed up in the non-traditional Christmas colors. That ornament is just SO darling! Great job with the color challenge this week!
