Love Sparkles

Way back towards the end of the Occasions catalog is the set Love Sparkles.  I received this set when I attended a Stampin' Up! event last November.   This set has great words in a very fun font.

I used the Watercolor Pencils and an Aqua Painter to color in the hearts.  I used the color combination of Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo, and Pacific Point.  This card is a great one to practice watercoloring.   The card was finished with some thick Melon Mambo Baker's twine and rhinestones.

On this card I used the Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight , and Real Red pencils.   Don't you like the word sparkle?  There is another sentiment in the set that says, it's your day.  I just love that.  We all need to sparkle a bit more, especially if it is our day.

This card is fun to make and easy too.  I have a couple more color combinations to share using the Love Sparkles stamp set and will post them in s a few days.

I love your cards and look at your site every day. I mostly case my cards because struggle coming up with my own designs. Do you pick the layout out first and then pick the stamp set? Thank you for any suggestions you can give me. K8

Hi Kate! Thank you for your comment. I wish I had one simple answer for you but I don't. Some days I start with a sketch or color combination and others with a stamp set. If I am really struggling and cannot think of anything, I have a few "go to" card styles that I turn to and also my favorite black and white with a little pop of color , usually red or yellow color scheme. I also find that challenges are another good way to get started. I am going to think about your question a bit more and write a blog post about how to get started creating. Thanks again for stopping by and leaving a thought provoking comment!
