Cool Treats and the Create with Connie and Mary Challenge #447
March 02, 2017
So many stamp sets, so little time! It was a hard choice but I decided on the Cool Treats Bundle for the Create with Connie and Mary Challenge #447.
Here's what I came up with using the Cool Treats Bundle and the CCMC sketch.
I used the Tasty Treats Specialty DSP . If you receive a card from me using this paper especially if it is a design with the glossy images please know that you are very special. The hardest decision I had to make was what to use in the upper left hand corner. Finally, I decided on ribbon but I did not have anything that was just perfect so I cut a piece of the 5/8" Mini Striped Ribbon in Watermelon Wonder in half and tied it into a knot. The sentiment is from the Suite Sentiments set.
Here's how I made the ice cream. I inked the solid image in Watermelon Wonder ink and stamped it off once and then stamped it on a piece of Whisper White card stock. I inked up the swirl image in VersaMark ink and then into the Watermelon Wonder ink and then stamped it over the solid image. I sprinkled my custom mix of Clear Embossing Powder and Dazzling Diamonds glitter (start with 1 part embossing powder and 1 part glitter) over it and then heat embossed it. Isn't the ice cream cone fabulous? The die both cuts out the cone and embosses the design. I cut the cone out in Delightful Dijon card stock. I added some sequins from the Sprinkles Embellishments, Pear Pizzaz star enamel shapes, and rhinestones.
Here's a little peek of the inside of the card. I used a strip of the Tasty Treats DSP and another sentiment from the Suite Sentiments set.
Be sure to check out what the other members of the design team created for the challenge. You can see all the designs here. I hope you will join in the challenge.
Oooh, I love the mix of embossing powder and dazzling diamonds on your ice cream! So clever! Thanks for sharing the recipe. Wonderful card this week Sharon!

Thanks Jennifer! I miss the Iridescent Ice embossing powder so the Dazzling Diamonds and Clear embossing powder comes in handy.
