Petal Palette and the Create with Connie and Mary Challenge

It is Thursday which means it is time for the Create with Connie and Mary Challenge.  This week it is a color challenge.

So when you saw the color combination what did you think? At first I was a little leery of this combination but after working with it I do like the mix of Garden Green and Lemon Lime Twist.   I started off by embossing the image from the Petal Palette stamp in white embossing powder on Shimmery White card stock.  I used ink refills and an Aqua Painter to color in the images.  I mixed  Garden Green and Lemon Lime Twist on the leaves and like how the colors blended together.

Pocket Card

Real Red: 4-1/4" x 11"  scored at 1-1/4", 5-1/2"

Lemon Lime Twist:  4" x 5-1/4"

Whisper White:  3-7/8" x  5-1/8"

Shimmery White CS:  4-3/4" x 6" ( 2 bouquets embossed and extra leaves)

Lemon Lime Twist 1/4" Ombre Ribbon approx 17"

The pocket is secured by the Lemon Lime Twist ribbon which is wrapped around the flap.   I secured down the flowers using Stampin' Dimensionals.  I cut apart the bouquet to fill in the gaps and make it look fuller.

The insert is pretty plain except for the sentiment stamped in Garden Green ink.

Be sure to check out what the other members of the design team created.  They are all so creative!  Thanks for stopping by.
