Paper Pumpkin Pop-Up Blog Hop...You Are My Anchor
May 05, 2018
Welcome to the Paper Pumpkin Pop Up Blog Hop! We are all fans of this monthly crafting kit and want to share with you our enthusiasm for this box of fun and creativity. The beauty of the Paper Pumpkin kit is that you can follow the directions provided in the kit to make the projects as they were designed, or use the supplies as a starting point and let your creativity run wild. On this hop we will be sharing lots of ideas with you on how to use April's Paper Pumpkin kit: You Are My Anchor.
This may be one of my favorite Paper Pumpkin kits so far. I didn't want to stop creating with it and I kept on thinking of ways to use the supplies provided. I shared an idea on how to use this kit in my post yesterday. Today I have 2 more project ideas for you.
I know you are thinking what is so special about putting life savers in the box? Wait for it...
Surprise!! You can see that I attached the life saver ring to a strip of window sheet and attached to the inside front of the box. I used Tear & Tape to secure the window sheet strip down and then covered it up with a strip of Pool Party card stock. I wanted the inside of the box to look as good as the outside. Because the window sheet is flexible it "pops" up when you open the tray. Fun surprise for the person opening the box.
The only extra supplies you will need to make this pop up is a strip of window sheet and a strip of card stock to place inside of the box. Oh yeah, you will also need life savers.
The next project I made is my favorite, at least so far. I still have a lot of supplies left from my kit, so who knows what else I will make.
You will need the following in addition to the Paper Pumpkin kit:
*3-1/2" x 10" Pool Party card stock scored at 2-1/2", 5"
*3" x 9-1/2" Island Indigo card stock scored at 4-1/2", 7"
*2-1/2" x 3-1/8" Island Indigo card stock
The rest is from the kit. I cut apart one of the box sleeves and cut a piece measuring 2-3/4" x 4-1/4" and 2-3/4" x 2-1/4"and a strip 1/2" x 2-3/4". I cut one of the cards to use on the first panel 2-3/8" x 3" and used the remainder to cut a piece 2-3/4" x 2-1/4" for the last panel. This card was so much fun to make and will fit into a note card envelope and is mailable.
