Paper Pumpkin...You Are My Anchor
May 04, 2018
Are you wondering what I am talking about? Paper Pumpkin, what? Paper Pumpkin is a monthly paper crafting kit. All the supplies arrive pre-cut, pre-scored, and ready to assemble. Each kit includes a stamp set and ink that you can use even after you’ve created everything within the kit. I have been a subscriber since the very beginning and the kit has certainly grown and evolved. I look forward to seeing that orange Paper Pumpkin box in my mailbox and discovering what fun and fabulous project I get to make. The projects vary each month from cards, gift items, packaging ideas, mini books and well whatever else the Paper Pumpkin designers dream up.
Every month there is a video showing the Paper Pumpkin kit. Here is the video for the April kit, You Are My Anchor.
When I get my kit I usually use the supplies to make at least one sample exactly (or at least pretty close) as the instructions direct.
These are 3" x 3" cards and they come with coordinating envelopes. I use this size of notes a lot. I tuck them in to packages, use them as gift tags, and even as a little pillow note.
The 5 little notes and envelopes fit into this cute little box. In the April kit there are enough supplies to make 4 boxes filled with 5 little notes and envelopes. These make great gifts.
There's a LOT of product in this kit. I decided to play a little and see what else I could make.
Did you know that the 3" x 6" notecard makes a great easel?
To make this card you will need:
*4-1/4" x 5-1/2" piece of Calypso Coral card stock
* 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock
* Calypso Coral circle (cut using the second to largest Layering Circles framelits)
The rest of the products are all in the You Are My Anchor kit.
All you need to do is score the notecard at 3/4". This 3/4" tab will be secured between the Calypso Coral and Whisper White card stock and is the easel.
Use the little label provided in the kit to make the stopper for the easel even the dimensionals are included in the Paper Pumpkin kit.
This is a quick and easy way to make an easel card and isn't this a great masculine card? Might be perfect for Father's Day!
