Climbing Orchid and the Create with Connie & Mary Challenge

Ready for the Create with Connie and Mary Challenge #521?  We have a lovely color challenge featuring Sahara Sand, Lovely Lipstick, and Blackberry Bliss.

Sahara Sand is one of those colors I just don't use very often.  I really don't know why I don't use it more.  It is a great neutral that changes how it looks depending on the colors it is paired with.

I embossed the orchids with White embossing powder on  Sahara Sand card stock.  Using an Aqua Painter and Lovely Lipstick ink, I colored in the orchids. I use an acrylic block inked up directly on the Lovely Lipstick stamp pad as my palette.   The sentiment and orchid stems were inked using Blackberry Bliss ink.

Before I placed the orchids on the stems I embossed the Sahara Sand card stock using the Subtle Dynamic Embossing folder.  This is probably my favorite embossing folder and I use it a lot.  The texture it embosses is subtle and yet adds a lot of interest.

I hope you will join in the challenge.  You can get all the details HERE and be sure to check out what the other designers created for this challenge.
