Snowflake Showcase

Today (November 30) is the last day you can order products from the Snowflake Showcase.  I have enjoyed creating cards using the Snow is Glistening stamp set and the Snowfall Thinlits.  I have a few more cards to share with you using these products.

AstheInkDries-SnowflakeShowcase1 (1)

Lots of sparkle and shine. I used the Sparkle Glimmer paper, Silver Foil, and rhinestones to create this card.  Love how this reflects the light and just shines!

AstheInkDries-SnowflakeShowcase2 (1)

The large snowflake is simply stunning.  Here it is cut out in Sparkle Glimmer paper with a smaller snowflake layered over it.  I stamped and embossed the flurry of snowflakes at the top of the card.

AstheInkDries-SnowflakeShowcase3

Here I cut out a frame using the Layering Squares framelits.  I sponged Lemon Lime Twist,  Bermuda Bay and Highland Heather ink and then sprayed it with a mix of alcohol and White Frost Shimmer paint.  It is hard to see the shimmer in the picture but in real life it is very pretty.

If you would like to see more samples using these products  you can check out this post,  this post,  this post, and this post.   You will see that these products are very versatile and not just for Christmas cards.

You can shop online here  and with a $60 order I will send you a collection of 12 tutorials using products in the Snowflake Showcase. Don't miss out on these great products! Thank you!

Beautiful Baubles and the Create with Connie & Mary Challenge

This week the Create with Connie and Mary Challenge is a sketch challenge. When I saw this sketch I knew exactly the stamp set I wanted to use.

CCMC538

I pulled out the Beautiful Baubles stamp set and did some quick coloring using Stampin' Blends.

Snowfall Thinlits and the Buffalo Check

I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving.   Today I have two more samples using the Snowfall Thinlits.  If you missed the previous posts using the Snowflake Showcase products you can see them here, here,  here,  and here.

Today's card I have the Snowfall Thinlits paired with the versatile Buffalo Check background stamp in the Holiday Catalog.

AstheInkDries-SnowflakeCheck

I love this Buffalo Check background stamp.  It is a definite keeper.  Using the Stamparatus is important when using this stamp.  I was able to re-ink the stamp and re-stamp  to get better coverage.  The sentiment is from the Enjoy Life stamp set, love the mix of fonts.  The "flowers" are Crushed Curry with Old Olive leaves.  The centers of the flowers are  Faceted Dots.

AstheInkDries-Snowfall&Buffalo

Here I changed up the colors and used Real Red for the flowers, Crushed Curry for the centers and accents, and Old Olive for the leaves.  I thought the flowers looked a little like poinsettias and would make a festive Christmas card.  This was one of the cards my club made and since we used the sentiments from the Snow is Glistening stamp set on another card ( I will show you that one soon) on this card we used the sayings from the Stylish Christmas stamp set.

Remember the products in the Snowflake Showcase are only available in November or while supplies last!  When you order and place a $60 order I will send you 12 tutorials using products from the Snowflake Showcase.

All the Good Things and the Create with Connie and Mary Challenge

Today for the Create with Connie and Mary Challenge I am using the All the Good Things stamp set.  The challenge this week is to create a project using the colors Tranquil Tide, Gray Granite and Copper Foil.

CCMC537

AstheInkDries-AlltheGoodThings

This is a very quick and easy card to recreate.  The sentiment and image are on one stamp so all I had to do was stamp it with Tranquil Tide ink once on the Gray Granite panel.  I layered the image on  Copper Foil  and then on one of the designs from the Joyous Noel Specialty Designer Series Paper.  Unfortunately this pack of Designer Paper was SO popular and is sold out and no longer available to order.  I usually do not use product that is not orderable but the design matched the image so well that I couldn't resist.

Wishing  you a very Happy Thanksgiving.  I hope you are safe, warm and spending it with loved ones.

Another Snowflake Showcase card

Ready for another card using the Snowfall thinlits and the Snow is Glistening stamp set?

AstheInkDries-SnowflakeShowcase1

Wish you could see the glittery goodness of the snowflakes.  The Sparkle Glimmer paper is so pretty and doesn't shed glitter!   Another BIG plus is that the Sparkle Glimmer paper is thinner which makes it much easier to die cut and punch.

AstheInkDries-SnowflakeShowcase1b

This card is one of 12 tutorials using the products in the Snowflake Showcase you will receive when you place a $60 online order with me in the month of November.   If your order is  less than $150 please use this hostess code, RU2BS7C.

Snowfall Thinlits

Over the next few days I will be sharing with you cards I have made using the Snowfall Thinlits and the Snow is Glistening  stamp set.  These 2 products are part of Stampin' Up!'s Snowflake Showcase.  The products in the Snowflake Showcase are only available until November 30 or while supplies last.  In fact one of the products in the showcase, the White Velvet Sheets has already sold out!

AstheInkDries-SnowFalldies-pocket (1)

Hard to believe I used thinlits called SnowFall and a stamp set called Snow is Glistening, right?  SnowFall thinlits are not just for snowflakes!  It was a lot of fun arranging the flowers and the foliage.

AstheInkDries-SnowFalldies-pocket2 (1)

There is a postcard style card that comes out where you can write your message.  This is a fun card to make and perfect for lots of different occasions.

I collaborated with some very talented Stampin' Up! demonstrators and am offering 12 card tutorials using the products in the Snowflake Showcase when you place an order of $60 or more with me.

Merry Christmas to All and the Create with Connie & Mary Challenge

It is Thursday which means it is time for the Create with Connie and Mary Challenge.  This week it is a sketch challenge.  I like that the challenge alternates between color and sketch challenges.

CCMC536

I created this sample a few weeks ago and at that time the Joyous Noel Specialty Designer Series Paper was still available for purchase.  It is now sold out.

AstheInkDries-CCMC536

Along with the Joyous Noel DSP I used the Snowfall Thinlits dies to cut out the Copper Foil snowflakes.  Remember the Snowfall Thinlits are only available in November or while supplies last.  The sentiment is from the Merry Christmas to All stamp set.  The gorgeous ribbon is the Merry Merlot & Copper Reversible ribbon.    What makes this ribbon so special is that one side is Merry Merlot and the other is  Merry Merlot with a coppery sheen.

I decided to make another card using patterned paper that was still available for purchase.

AstheInkDries-UndertheMistletoe-CCMC536

This patterned paper is called Under the Mistletoe and can be found in the annual catalog. I cut out the snowflakes using the Snowfall thinlits and the Sparkle Glimmer paper.  The sentiment is from the Snow is Glistening stamp set.  This stamp set that coordinates with the Snowfall thinlits and is available in November or while supplies last.

Now it is time to check out what the other designers created using this sketch.  Go to the Create with Connie and Mary blog and check out the challenge!

Stamper's Dozen Blog Hop...Color Challenge

Blog hop header

It is the 14th of the month which means it is time for the Stamper's Dozen Blog Hop!  This month we are playing with color.  The theme for this month is a color challenge.

  SDBH Nov 2018

I just realized as I was writing this blog post that the third color is silver foil.  I thought it was just silver so please try and overlook that I used Silver Glimmer paper instead of Silver Foil.

AstheInkDries-BeautifulBaubles-SDBH11-18

I used the Beautiful Baubles stamp set and coordinating Detailed Baubles thinlits (aka Beautiful Baubles bundle).   The sentiment is from the Peaceful Poinsettia set.    You will need to use your imagination and see Silver Foil paper instead of Silver Glimmer paper.

AstheInkDries-BeautifulBaubles-SDBHside

You can also see that I used the Subtle Embossing folder on the Powder Pink card stock.  I did stamp the ornament strings and the sentiment before embossing the card stock.

Now it is time for you to check out the rest of the Stamper's Dozen blog hop members designs using this color combination.

Country Home and the Create with Connie & Mary Color Challenge

This week the Create with Connie and Mary Challenge is a color challenge.

CCMC535

Isn't this a lovely color combination?  I love getting new ideas on colors!

AstheInkDries-CCMC535

The Country Home stamp set is a great one to use for color challenges.  I used Stampin' Blends to color the image except for the pitcher.  I stamped the pitcher with Night of Navy Classic ink and used a blender pen to do a little shading.
