Apron of Love for the Create with Connie & Mary Challenge

I cannot decide which I like better Color Challenges or Sketch Challenges but I do know that I certainly enjoy the Create with Connie & Mary Challenges.  This week it is a color challenge, Gray Granite, Mossy Meadow and Cherry Cobbler.

I have been wanting to create a little treat holder to house some kisses as little favors.  Looking through my dies I came across the Apron Builder framelits and thought they just might be perfect.  I haven't used these framelits or the coordinating Apron of Love stamp set nearly enough.

I created a little box and sandwiched it between two aprons  and decorated it using the Peaceful Poinsettia bundle which is one of my  favorite bundles.  The sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set.  The little 3" x 3" card is decorated with the cute wreath from the Barn Door stamp set and the Sliding Door Framelits.

Here's all the things I used to make today's projects.

ICS Blog Hop...Peaceful Poinsettias

Ics blog hop banner

Welcome to the Inspire, Create & Share Blog Hop!  This month's theme is Christmas Cards Galore!  I am using Peaceful Poinsettias, one of my favorite bundles  (stamp set/thinlit dies) from the 2018 Stampin' Up!® Holiday Catalog.

I love a black and white card.  Creating your own black and white plaid is so easy with the Buffalo check background stamps, also in the Holiday catalog.  The little splashes of red rhinestone bling really makes me happy and adds just a sparkly touch of color.

Now it is time to hop on over to see what Jenilee Pauls has created for you!

Winter Woods Christmas

I made this card quite a while ago and somehow I forgot to post it.

AstheInkDries-WinterWoods

The lovely trees are from the Winter Woods stamp set and cut using the coordinating In the Woods framelits dies.  There are so many lovely ideas floating around using this bundle and we know for sure that the stamp set will be carried over.  If you purchase the stamp set and dies as a bundle you will save 10% but the bundle price is only available while the Holiday catalog is live, which is until January 2nd 2019.

The words are from the Merry Christmas to All bundle which includes the Merry Christmas to All stamp set and the Merry Christmas Thinlits.   I love the font used for these words and dies.

All the Good Things for Simple Sunday

Taking a little break from Christmas projects to share a quick and easy card.  I finally got  the All the Good Things stamp set in the Stampin' Up! Annual catalog.  The koi remind me of my father.  At one time we had a koi pond in our backyard  that was filled with beautiful fish.

The images in this stamp set are Distinktive style stamps.  They are made in a special way so that there is a lot of shading and detail created with just one stamp.  Yes, the koi images were made with just one stamp.  This sure makes for an easy card.

I think this card should have taken me 10-15 minutes to complete but it seems I can make anything more difficult than it needs to be.  Ready for a little peek behind the blog?

AstheInkDries-AlltheGoodThings-oops

Ooops!  I guess I wasn't paying close enough attention to where I was gluing the stamped panel.  So my quick and easy card took a little longer since I had to carefully peel it off and attach it the right way.    Please tell me I am not the only one who has done this!
