Dear Doily

Not sure how I feel about the name of this bundle of products, Dear Doily (Dear Doily stamp set and the Doily Builder Thinlits Dies)  but I am sure how I feel about the bundle.  It is beautiful.  Here is my first play with the bundle which was inspired by the sample in the 2019 Occasions Catalog.

AstheInkDries-DearDoily-1_9

I love the background created by die cutting the doily dies 4 times.  It takes a little time to cut the die 4 times but the results were worth it.  The flower and sentiment are both in the Dear Doily stamp set. I colored the stem using an Old Olive marker  and the flower with a Real Red marker.  I did stamp the flower twice to add more red to the card.  The flower was cut out using the Doily Builder Thinlits. The red bow is also a die in the Doily Builder Thinlits.  Perfect for when you do not want to tie a tiny bow.

I also used the Rectangle Stitched Framelits to cut out the frame and the Whisper White piece.  Those framelits are the best!  I would say they are a definite must have.  I wanted to have a double stitched Real Red frame so I used 2 framelits to cut it out.

I cut the Whisper White using the smaller rectangle and fit it in the frame for the completed piece.

Love that there are options!

Below my signature I have a list of all the products I used to create this card.  The products are already linked to my online store so it is easier for you to shop!

Looking Back at 2018 part 3

Here's the final part of my look back at 2018!  I am picking just 2 projects per month for October thru December.

In October I used the  Barn Door stamp set and the Sliding Door Framelits for the first time!  For some strange reason that I cannot even explain I was intimidated by the sliding door.  I am happy to say that there was no reason for it and I am so happy I got over it because I love this cute card.

In October I also became a fan of the color combination of Mint Macaron and Blackberry Bliss.

November brought us the Snow is Glistening stamp set and the Snowfall thinlits.  In this post I wanted to show how the Snowfall thinlits could be used after Christmas.

Beautiful Baubles bundle continued to be a favorite in November.

In December my love for the Peaceful Poinsettia bundle was made pretty clear but this one is my favorite.

I also shared a few sneak peeks and they all are favorites but this one is extra special because it taught me a new color combination.

Hey Love for the Create with Connie & Mary Challenge

Today is the first day of the Stampin' Up! Occasions catalog and the start of Sale-A-Bration!  This year's Occasion catalog is one of the very best.  One of the stamp sets that just made me smile is Hey Love.  I just love the adorable animals.  When I bought this set I wanted to find ways to use it for more than just Valentine cards.  I decided to use it for this week's Create with Connie and Mary sketch challenge.

CCMC542

I paired the alligator from Hey Love with one of the sentiments from Amazing Life.

ASID-HeyLove-CCMC542

I used the bright and bold Happiness Blooms DSP.  This paper makes me happy,  I love the designs and the cheerful colors.  If you got this card in the mail wouldn't it bring a smile to your face?

Be sure to check out what the other members of the design team created using the sketch.  All the cards I saw were so different from each other but unified by the sketch.  Thanks for stopping by.  If you are not currently working with a Stampin' Up! demonstrator and would like to see the Occasions and Sale-A-Bration catalogs, contact me and I will get them out to you.

ICS Blog Hop Hello Cupcake

ICS bloghop

Welcome to the Inspire, Create & Share Blog Hop!  This month the theme is Sale-A-Bration.  Sale-A-Bration starts on January 3 and runs until March 31, 2019.  During Sale-A-Bration you can choose  a free gift from the Sale-A-Bration brochure for every $50 (US dollars before shipping and tax) purchase.  This year  there are SO many great choices.  You can choose from stamp sets, specialty paper, dies, kits, DSP and embellishments.

It was a difficult trying to decide what to use for the blog hop. I finally decided on the Hello Cupcake stamp set and the Organdy Ribbon combo pack.

ASID-HelloCupcake-ICS1-19

January is a time I need to  replenish  my supply of birthday cards and the Hello Cupcake stamp set is perfect for that.  This 10 piece photopolymer set is a great mix of images and sentiments. Here I stamped it in Balmy Blue and So Saffron.  One of the reasons I chose this color combination is that I could add the cute little bow which was made from another Sale-A-Bration choice, the Organdy Ribbon Combo Pack.  This pack of ribbon has 1/4" organdy ribbon in 5 colors, Balmy Blue, Daffodil Delight, Grapefruit Gove, Highland Heather, and Lemon Lime Twist.  These colors also coordinate with the Gingham Gala 6" x 6" DSP in the Occasions catalog.

If you need quick and cute birthday cards, the Hello Cupcake stamp set is a sweet choice!  Now it is time to hop on over to see what Cynthia at a Crowning Creation has created for you.

You know I love black and white DSP (Designer Series Paper).  Last April there was the Petal Passion DSP and it was the best!  Made this card for the Create with Connie & Mary Challenge.

Looking Back at 2018 part 1

Taking a look back at some of my favorite projects of 2018.

In January of 2018 I was definitely crazy about the Charming Cafe bundle.  In this one post  I featured 3 different cards using the bundle.  Here's one of the cards.  You can check out the other two here.

Took a little break from the 2018 Occasions catalog and played with the Oh So Eclectic stamp set and dies  in this post.

ASID 1-1-19post Oh So Eclectic

There is something about stripes and florals, that make me so happy.  This card features the flower dies from the Support Ribbon framelits and the sentiment from Ribbon of Courage.

This card was a challenge for me.  This was for a color challenge using Melon Mambo, Calypso Coral, and Rich Razzleberry. I ended up loving the card but it took me a while to get to that point.  You can check out the post here.

I love a glittery card and Heartfelt Blooms (SAB) stamp set was a perfect one to use this technique.
