Happy 4th of July!  It is hard to believe it is already July! During the month of July  the Create with Connie & Mary Challenge is a Case the Catalog challenge.  What does this mean?  Every week a sample will be chosen from the catalog and you can use the sketch, color, stamp set, basically any aspect for the challenge.  This week the chosen sample is on page 22, the sample on the lower right hand side.

I chose to "case" the sketch.

I used the Band Together stamp set.  I stamped the images in VersaMark ink and then colored in the flower using a dried up marker dipped in White Craft ink.  Once the craft ink dried, I colored in the flowers using Watercolor pencils.  I used Melon Mambo from the Watercolor Pencils and Flirty Flamingo from the Watercolor Assortment #2.  This is a fun technique and also works well using the Chalk Marker instead of the White Craft ink.
