Believe You Can

It is Monday.  Sometimes after the weekend, we need a little more motivation to get going on the new week.

AstheInkDries-BelieveYouCanEasel

I am so happy I got the Believe You Can host set.  I think we often overlook these sets.  They are a great buy and an exclusive perk for hosts or when you have an order of a certain size.

AstheInkDries-BelieveYouCanEaselSide

I love how clean this looks that I added a Whisper White panel on the back of the Black card base so I can write a message there leaving the front blank.  I call this a one flap easel card.  I did a tutorial on it HERE.  You will have to adapt it a bit to fit the Stitched Nested Labels dies but the general idea is the same.

Look...No Stamping!

It is rare but occasionally  I make a card that has no stamping on it.

AstheInkDries-3stars-

These little snowpeople crack me up!  Their little faces are so expressive.  I punched them out of the Let it Snow Specialty DSP.  This pack of paper is so darn cute and sometimes I wish it wasn't double sided.  I know that is a terrible thing to say but I like both sides and it hurts me to have to choose!

AstheInkDries-3starsside

The star dies are part of the Mini Curvy Keepsakes box dies.  In addition to the cutest little box there are 5 different little tag shapes, a snowflake, and greenery dies, 10 dies in all.  Very cute and useful.

The glittery sentiment is from the Jolly Seasons dies.  Don't you just love it?

Free As a Bird

Taking a break from the Holiday Catalog and stamping with those beautiful birds in the Free As a Bird stamp set for this  week's Create with Connie & Mary Challenge

CCMC580

AstheInkDries-CCMC580

See that one little bird at the end?  Don't you wonder what he/she is looking at?  All the other birds on the branch are looking in the opposite direction.

AstheInkDries-CCMC580sidejpeg

Here's a little peek into the inside of the card.  I did some fussy cutting and added a few flowers.

I have to mention that the Bird Ballad DSP is part of the Buy 3, Get 1 Free promotion.  It is a beautiful pack of paper.

Beauty & Joy Christmas

Don't you love it when a card comes together quickly?  Believe me, it doesn't happen to me often enough.

AstheInkDries-Beauty&JoyPlaid

I found the stamped image above and the cut DSP stuck in the Beauty & Joy stamp case.  There were even card stock layers for the oval and the DSP in the case.  I don't remember when i did this or why I didn't finish the card but I am just happy it was there.  The only thing I had to do was cut a card base and decide where to place the image and the sentiment.  This took longer than it should considering there are not that many options.

Harvest Hellos Tri-Fold

I said I wasn't going to get it but I caved.  My rationalization is that I didn't have a pumpkin stamp and it is Autumn and I need one.  Just nod your head cause I know you understand.  My first card using the Harvest Hellos bundle.

AstheInkDries-HarvestHellos-tri-fold

Don't you wish pumpkins came in gingham check?  So cute, right?   The Come to Gather DSP pack is so yummy.   On one side really lovely fall images and the other side classic year round patterns.  This pack of paper is just made for this tri-fold card that allows me to show 4 different patterns of the DSP!

AstheInkDries-HarvestHello-trifold2

I have shared a quick tutorial on this fold HERE .  It is really a quick and easy card, the hardest part is deciding what designs to use and sometimes that can be very difficult.

Tags Tags Tags for Halloween

Have you checked out the Tags Tags Tags bundle?  It is WAY back in the Holiday catalog, page 56.

Tags Tags Tags

I love that I can stamp once, die cut once and get 3 different tags.  The stamps will have you covered for Halloween,  Christmas, and Valentines.   Here is a quick & easy way I used these tags for some Halloween treats.

AstheInkDries-Tagstagstagshalloween

I used the Mini Curvy Keepsake Box die for one of the treats.  This little box is SO darn cute.  You do not need any adhesive to put this box together, just a 6" x  6" piece of paper.   Wondering what fits in this little treat box?  A truffle fits beautifully, a few chocolate kisses, and definitely a pair of diamond earrings.   The little pumpkins (on the Boo) are also in the Trio of Tags dies.  I cut them in black card stock and added them on to the tag.  I made them shiny by applying some Shimmery Crystal Effects.

The treat in the back is simply a piece of DSP wrapped around a square of chocolate, wrapped with the gorgeous 3/8" Glittered Organdy ribbon.

The treat on the right is a lollipop cover.  I cut a 1-1/2" x 5" piece of  Monster Bash DSP, scored at 1/2", 2", 3", and 4-1/2".

Can you see how easily you can become the master creator of little treats using this bundle?

Here's to Strong Women

It is Festive Friday Challenge time!  I am really liking the changes that were recently made in the challenge.  There is now an Inspo list (aka Inspiration).  This Inspo list has elements inspired by the festivity.  You pick at least 3 elements from the Inspo to use on your project.

FF0043

The 3 items from the Inspo List I chose for my project; blue, encouragement, hearts.

AstheInkDries-FF0043

This big beautiful sentiments is from the Here's to Strong Women stamp set.  I have been using this stamp set a lot lately, especially this sentiment.  We are all going through something and I love sharing a little bit of encouragement & support.  I wanted to make something that was easily mailed that would stand up on its own.

AstheInkDries-FF0043side (1)

This card has its own build in stand.  It folds up fairly flat and will fit in a note card size envelope (5-1/8" x 3-5/8") which is a mailable size.  There is even a little place in the back for you to write a little message.

What's New At SU...Happy Fall!

What's new hop

Welcome to the What's New at SU! Fall Edition!  I am happy to be hopping along with Stampin' Up!® demonstrators from all over the world!  Our theme is Fall.  One of the things here in the US we celebrate during the fall is Halloween.

AstheInkDries-MonsterBashframes (1

It is hard for me to believe that the only thing I stamped on this card is a sentiment on the inside.  I used the fun and fabulous Monster Bash DSP, Hand Lettered Prose dies, and can you guess what I used for the black foliage frame?

If you guessed the Frosted Frames Dies you are correct!  Want to see how I created it?

AstheInkDries-FrostedFrame

I cut away all the snowflake bits and re-shaped a few leaves and you have  spooky foliage.  It is always fun to find other ways to use your dies.

AstheInkDries-MonsterBashframes-side2

I  like to dress up the inside of a card with a strip of DSP and another fun image cut from the Monster Bash DSP.

Now it is time for you to see what Margriet   has created for you.

If you are hopping in the other direction please check out what Anke   has created for you.

Stamper's Dozen Blog Hop...Anything But a Card

SDBH Banner

Welcome to the Stamper's Dozen Blog Hop!   This month's theme is Anything But A Card.

Last week while at the store I saw these individually wrapped Hostess cupcakes marketed as Scary Cakes.  There were the perfect amount in the box for my Host Club so I bought them.  I wasn't sure what I was going to do with them but I hoped inspiration would hit me.

AstheInkDries=SDBHbakersbox

Baker's Boxes to the rescue!  I had enough of these versatile boxes for my club which made me feel this was all meant to be.   I used the Monster Bash DSP for the cover of the box.  I die cut a circle in the DSP so the treat inside could peek through.  I cut a wreath using the All-Around Wreath dies to frame the treat.   The box is decorated with pumpkins cut using the Trio of Tags dies, some googly eyes and a tag stamped and cut using the Tags Tags Tags bundle.

AstheInkDries-HalloweenBaker'sBox-openjpg

This adorable, I mean spooky couple was cut out from the Monster Bash DSP and attached to the top of the Scary Cake.  Don't they look great peeking through the window?

AstheInkDries-SDBHbakersbox2jpeg

To finish the look I attached Basic Gray card stock panels around the sides of the box.  This is a pretty quick and easy way to package up a treat.  The Baker's Boxes are pretty roomy and food safe.

Hope you enjoyed my Anything But A Card project.  Here is a list of all the stops on the blog hop.
