2020 Cute Fruit

Simple Sunday...Cute Fruit

Ready for another Simple Sunday share?  I found a couple of pineapples that I had stamped using the Cute Fruit stamp set (found only in the Beginner brochure) and they were too cute not to use.

Don't they just make you smile?   The pineapples were stamped using Bumblebee and Granny Apple Green ink.  I cut them out which was pretty simple since it is not a very intricate design.  The pineapples are layered on a piece of 2020-22 In Color DSP in Magenta Madness. The card base is a Whisper White notecard.  Notecards are smaller in size 3-1/2" x 5" (this is a mailable  size in the US).  Notecards come in Whisper White or Very Vanilla  and you get 20 cards and envelopes for $7.00.  This is a super deal and perfect for all stampers.

The sentiment is also from the Cute Fruit stamp set.  I like to the decorate the insides of cards soI stamped another pineapple inside.  All the pineapples have flowers punched out using the Confetti Flowers Border punch.  The centers of the flowers are white dots from the All the Trimmings Embellishment pack in the 2020-Aug-Dec Mini Catalog.

This is a quick and easy card to make and perfect to brighten someone's day.  Below you will find all the supplies with links to my online store and colors I used to make this card.

Cute Fruit Wishes

It is Thursday and time for the Create with Connie & Mary Challenge!  I know it is weird that I say things like, it is Thursday... but I am working hard on trying to remember what day of the week it is.  I have given up on what day of the month it is but holding tight to remembering the day.

This month the Create with Connie & Mary Challenge is CASing the 2020-21 Annual Stampin' Up!® catalog.  This week we are CASing the adorable sample on page 20.

I recently received the Cute Fruit stamp set.  Wondering where you can find this set?  It is in the Beginner Brochure/Make Beautiful Things.  It is a super fun set.

I decided that this set would also be a great time to showcase the new 2020-22 In Colors.

The only color I wasn't able to work in was Cinnamon Cider.  I had stamped the banana and used Cinnamon Cider on the stem but it didn't make it on to the card.  Here's a breakdown of what colors were used and where.

These new In Colors are the best and they play so well with each other!  In retrospect I should have sponged on some Cinnamon Cider on the pineapple, it would have made it more realistic and then Cinnamon Cider wouldn't have been neglected.

Cute Fruit Daisies

Have you see the Make Beautiful Things brochure?  It is a small brochure that offers a sampling of stamps, kits, and accessories.  Some of the products are also shown in the Annual Catalog but there are a few items that are only featured in the this brochure.  One of those products is a fun stamp set called Cute Fruit.

This set just makes me smile so I knew I had to have it.   I just think the little faces are so cute and knew they would be so cute in the middle of daisies.

I used the Medium Daisy punch and punched out 6 daisies, 2 for each flower.  I stamped the faces on Crushed Curry CS and punched them out with a 1/2" circle punch (sadly this is a retired punch).   I stamped and punched the jar from the Jar of Flowers bundle and added some foliage cut from Coastal Cabana CS using the Forever Flourishing dies and lightly sponged the edges with Night of Navy ink.

I used the Playing with Patterns 6" x 6" DSP.  This pack of paper is so cute!  It is filled with stripes, polka dots, watercolor looks all in the happy color combination of Calypso Coral, Coastal Cabana, Night of Navy, Purple Posy, and White.   Based on the picture in the catalog I was a little leery but I loved the colors so I decided to give it a try and I am so glad I did!

I used the Playful Alphabet Dies and the Foam Adhesive Sheets to cut out the Coastal Cabana letters.  To do this I cut small piece of the Foam Adhesive and a corresponding piece of Coastal Cabana CS.  I took off one of the protective coverings from the Foam Adhesive Sheet and adhered the Coastal Cabana CS.  I used the dies and ran it through the die cut machine.  The Foam Adhesive cuts beautifully.  All you have to do is remove the protective covering and stick it on the card.  Honestly, what I did at first was cut out the letters and was about to start cutting out little pieces of Stampin' DImensionals to attach it to the card when I remembered the Foam Adhesive Sheets!  I knew it would be so much easier to start all over again using the Foam Adhesive Sheets.  I highly recommend getting a pack or 2 of the Foam Adhesive sheets!
