ICS Blog Hop...Lovely Lily Pad
January 01, 2020
Happy New Year and welcome to the Inspire, Create, & Share (ICS) Blog Hop! We are excited to share with you some sneak peeks from the upcoming Sale-A-Bration brochure. Just a few more sleeps until the start of both the January-June 2020 Mini Catalog and Sale-A-Bration. We love this time of year. Starting January 3, when you purchase $50 (US) in product you will be able to choose a free gift from the Sale-A-Bration catalog. I mean seriously who doesn't love a free gift?!
I chose to focus on the Lovely Lily Pad stamp set. This stamp set also has a coordinating die set, Lily Pad which is free with a $100 purchase, and coordinating Designer Series Paper (DSP) called Lily Impressions which is free with a $50 purchase.
I made a bag using the All Dressed Up dies (January-June 2020 Mini catalog) and the Lily Impressions DSP. The bag holds three 3" x 3" cards. Wouldn't this make a fun gift?
I used the circles in Stitched Shapes dies to create the handles for my bag. I used #1 and #3 stitched circles (#1 being the smallest). I place the smaller circle inside the larger die and ran them through my die cutting machine. They fit perfectly on the front of the bag and is a fun alternative to the handles included in the All Dressed Up dies.
Here are the 3 cards I made to fit in the bag. I also included envelopes which can be found here. These little note cards are too small to mail. They are great as gift tags or little notes to tuck in someone's lunch or leave on someone's desk.
The lily and lily pad were embossed in white on Shimmery White cs. I like to use Shimmery White cs when I water color. It doesn't absorb as quickly as regular Whisper White cs so you can move around the color. I also attached some gems from the From My Heart Faceted Gems in the January-June 2020 Mini catalog. The DSP is also from the Lily Impressions DSP.
I love the ombre effect on the design strips. These strips were cut using the Lily Pad dies from the Lily Impressions DSP, the same design that the bag was cut from. The flower was also created using the Lily Pad dies.
On this little note card I again watercolored and embossed the lily and leaves from the Lovely Lily Pad set. Used the border die from the Lily Pad dies and the From the Heart Faceted Gems.
This was a very fun project to put together and offers a good look at the Lovely Lily Pad stamp set, Lily Pad dies, and the Lily Impressions DSP from the Sale-A-Bration catalog. Now it is time to head on over to see what Dana Sullivan has created for you!
Thanks for stopping by!

Cute tote. I was reading for directions to make the tote. Can you share how to cut and score it? Thanks!

Shirley, the tote is made using the All Dressed Up dies in the Jan-Jun 2020 Mini catalog. Instead of folding the gusset in I folded it out. Hope that makes sense.
